Our own Lynn LeFey has done gone and gotten all successful like, and I think we owe it to a forum member to help her over the top!  But, as she's the writer, I'll let her tell it.

Yayyyy!!!! Dear kind folks of these forums... I have to say, I'm bad at tooting my own horn. But SO happy Grant is acting as a cheerleader for me here.

The blurb:
What does a young woman do with the bucket of hate she carries around from her abusive childhood? Lucy is about to find out. What does a man do when his faith in the security of his nation crumbles? FBI Special Agent Javier Torres is about to find out. And when shape-shifting, man-eating daemons are revealed to exist, who does the succubus called 'Vespid' feed on? The rich and poor alike find out, because sometimes a girl's gotta eat.

This is an Urban Fantasy/Horror book, with very adult content. It's the first in (at least a) trilogy, with sequels 'Old Black Water' and 'Invasive Species' already finished. They will be published 15 months from now (Old Black Water) and 30 months from now (Invasive Species).

And to answer the most obvious question... from 'Invasive Species' (book 3)...

"As he unpacked tackleboxes of supplies, and unpainted minis, he noticed a tray of tools, and a multitool he dearly loved. It had a sliding plier head, and made a lovely mechanical sound when that sliding head snapped into place. Seeing the worn black oxide coating on the tool just made him happy. Seeing the bead-blasted finish of several of its internal tools, and plier head assembly made him even happier. The mismatch of parts was from scavenging broken tools purchased in on-line auctions and rebuilding it. He knew the tool intimately. He'd taken it apart, understood it, modified it to his liking, and used it for a thousand little tasks around his work desk. He lifted it to his nose, and smelled the 3-in-1 oil he used to oil it. He smiled.
Never... ever... give an angry and determined engineer a multitool, Greg thought, smiling."

So, yes... The series DOES eventually have a multitool, and yes, it's a Gerber MP600, for the record.
