Variations of the 600
on: February 02, 2009, 06:33:59 PM
In looking at eBay, Gerber reviews and their website, it seems that there have been several variations on the 600 series over the years, with the Scout, Pro Scout and Fisherman to name a few. It seems that over the years Gerber has been varying the array of tools found on the 600, both in form and function. Now, I'm not a Gerber person, in fact the only thing I own of theirs is an AR 3.0 and the Artifact, but  it seems that the 600 is certainly their flagship model and one of the few that has given them steady success. So, much in the the vein as we did with the PST, is their a sort of "time-line" for the 600? Do any of you major Gerber collectors have several 600 models because they are all different? I'm curious to know more.
Fan of the Leatherman mini-bit driver and the Vic backspring philips.

Bob (J-Sews) is your man for this question, his knowledge of the 600 series is pretty darn good. In fact i think there may be a thread somewhere with a few of the variations....i'll have a look around :)

There is one for the Multiplier, but I can't remember a 600 one.

I'd like to see his LM collection! It would make mine look minuscule; and I have every model and duplicates of some!
