What would be your ideal blade material then?  For strength alone?

Well it'd have to be a Carbon steel, as like it or not, Stainless lacks the elasticity for out and out strenght (12-27C excepted) so 1095, Carbon V or a similar steel, but definetly not D2!

So a framelock, that has a good Carbon steel blade, that has a spearpoint or tanto point on it, that had stainless steel or Ti scales is what we are after then?

So Ti and a framelock.

Shall we just say it's a Sebbie and just be done with it?  :D

No ti, it's lighter but for the same volume steel has higher tensil strength.

They are the best built knife if the world! They're ain't pretty, and they dont have a smooth action, but if you want a knife that you can count on to not fail you when you need it most, buy a Strider.

This SNG would be my choice for you.  :tu:

Yup, They say if you are going to a wedding the Sebbie is it, but if you go to combat strider is it.

But I go to more weddings.

If you can get away from Mick and his "life" go for it.
