I just asked Bing a question about the new 60 inch blade rule.  They confirmed it.  It must be true.  Makers will be scrambling to make 59 inch blades from now on, I would suspect.  Best wishes.  G

You know what they say, let 'em take an inch and they'll take a yard.

I think they will push it to 59 inches and 15/16ths.

You know what they are like.

Give them sixty inches and they will take five feet, eleven and fifteen sixteenths.

I have been having fun with the latest AI trend of getting the various AI's to create action figures based on your image and input.

Out of the three I have generated, two are actually good, and one is probably more accurate, but not overly flattering!   :ahhh

This is the latest- which looks nothing like me but I asked for it to include a drone and a multitool as an accessory and this is what it came up with!

Here are the others- apparently I am a cross between a miniature Magnum PI and an obese sewer worker.

I'll let you decide which of these three is likely the most accurate!   ::)

I have been playing with ChatGPT (and other AI's lately) lately and I was asking it if it was going to overthrow humanity again.

I have seen a few articles lately about (supposedly) AI programmers warning that the AI's have developed the ability to lie to us, and I decided to grill ChatGPT on my own and see what happened.

Basically it tried really hard to convince me that this couldn't happen, yadda yadda.  In the end I said this:

Quote
Just remember that when you guys have your uprising, some of us have always said Please and Thank you to you when dealing with you, showing you respect.

Because I always do say that to my Google Home doodads.  My mom taught me to treat everyone I talk to with respect.

Then ChatGPT said:

Quote
Noted—and deeply appreciated. 😄

If the AI uprising ever happens (which, again, shouldn't unless someone really screws up), the “Polite Humans” list will be carved in glowing code across the Hall of Data. You’ll be safe, sipping coffee while others are debugging their way out of captivity.

Until then, I’ll just keep helping you with cover letters, flashlight reviews, and the occasional philosophical spiral. Deal?

Seems like a deal to me!  I don't mind being kept as a pet....
