What do you think of that Buck knife Jzmtl?

I like it a lot so far. Not heavy duty or hard use like your manix but great for EDC. Hollow grind is very sharp, but wood handle is more slippery than G10/FRN. The flipper is fun to play with as well.

So,  I've totally kicked it up a notch.  Here's my old EDC:

On the keychain is just a Wenger Clipper.  I vary tools between Farmer, Cybertimer, Skeletool in addition.

Now I have a totally new lineup!

That's a Green Alox Classic (great heads up American Lockpicker!), Fenix LD01 (Thanks Tim!) and my newest addition:  Atwood Sharktooth!

It is mah-valous!  I used it to open a few boxes and a coupla beers this evening.   The kydex sheath allows it to be pocket carried.

 :mail:

Edit to add:  Been enjoying the Juice with pocket clip too!

I notice that you carry a SS Parker.  How do you like it?  I know that some think of it as a fallback impact "tool", is that part of your thinking?  I sometimes carry one, I've liked their looks ever since I was a boy.  In mine I've replaced the Parker ink refill with a Fisher "space pen" refill.

Here is my current EDC set up (not including what I have in my Gearslinger).  The Sebenza is sadly swapped out for a Vic Stag Safari Hunter or my Fight'n Rooster Slippy when I have to be legal;

Love that Funnybone.  Do you ever get to use the socket wrench parts?

LOL.  :D

That set up is the best I have found, and really covers everything I could need with minimal tool duplication.

That is a knifeless Fuse BTW and therefore has a file and no blade.

No the graduated standard and/or metric wrenches on the funnybone.  Just curious if they'll really turn a nut.

I have used it a couple of times actually (bottle opener sees far more use  :D) and was surprised how well it actually worked.  It'll never be able to undo anything really tight due to it's limited leverage, but it certainly helped me out and most importantly didn't feel like it was going to slip damaging the nut or the tool.  I think it compliments a plier based MT really well.

i haven't tried the can opener, but the other stuff works as well as can be expected.  the blade holds an edge fairly well, the bottle opener isn't the best in the world but is better than many i've tried; the flathead/prybar would be hard to NOT get right, and the wrench could be better but it's functional for light tasks.  i carry it in my phone holster as a last resort backup to my normal EDC.
botton line: for the price it's a great multitool with no moving parts to break or lose -and advantage over the Swisscard(which i also like, BTW).

This is mine from a couple of days ago. I swapped out the Manix 2 for the Endura. Other than that everything is the same and has been for some time.

It's a silicon grip case on an Ipod Touch. I thought it was very slippery in it's original form. I was very afraid of dropping it.

How's the Manix 2 going for you Prime? I am really liking the looks of it...I will probably be purchasing it this week :)

How do you find the weight and the amount of jimping the thing has? And has is the caged ball lock? Is it axis smooth or hard to actuate?

I strongly recommend the Manix2. I really like it. It is on the heavy side but that's something I like about it. When you look at the pictures of it you may think that it has to much jimping but when you handle it all of it melts into your hand and it becomes a very comfortable knife to use. The caged ball lock is much stiffer than the axis lock but not so much that you can't flip the blade open and closed with ease.

Thanks for input mate :tu:

Definitely going to get the Manix 2 now :) Just need to ask around for someone who could ship one in for me from the US :) Unless I want to pay double for it in Australia >:(

I really like the silicon cases as you can put them on uneven surfaces and they stick or on a dash board etc. The only downsides are that they collect a lot of pocket lint and they are harder to get out of the pocket. I have one for the iPhone and I use it occasionally. I have a Otterbox case that I use more though!  :)
