Thanks for showing up for today's pointy peep show.  That's an elegant emerald seated in the succulent.  Only a few more days until there will be lots of green things on MTo.  Best wishes.  G

Finally stopped raining.  Photo is a See-through Spartan hanging on for dear life, or maybe just visiting his friend the paintbrush.  I usually post the Sunday peep show on Saturday night.  That way I can coax friend Echotech to post something.  So, I am a little late this time, even though I am posting on the correct day if you want to split hairs, or maybe paintbrush bristles.  Best wishes. Cool enough to wear a sweater here, Barry.  I took my pole lopper out and cut out a bunch of multiflora roses that were hanging down where I have to mow.  Those things will pull you off of a lawn mower.  Had to use the saw on my Trooper to cut several Hornbeam branches that were too tough for the lopper.  I figured the lopper would cut something about 3/4 inches through, but no go.  This stuff is tough.  Took a while to saw through with my pocky knife.  Best wishes.  G

It's been in the low sixties here all day, and the rain is back.  That says a lot for that wood Gary!  I like the saws on those knives.

Nice one, Gary! :tu: The toughness of hornbeam makes it a natural for the handles on Opinel's Colorama line. And it was cold and rainy enough here that I was thankful for my Carhartt Rain Defender sweatshirt.

Bought this Emerald Green Huntsman off of the big E a while and it was in rough shape. Sent it to Victorinox for a spa treatment and carried it for the first time today

Looks like Vic did their usual first class fix-up.  I saw several very pregnatized white-tail mothers to be waddling around the place yestiddy.  I saw more yearlings this year than ever.  The other deer hunters commented the same thing to me.  I need to put out a camera and catch some little speckled bambi-nos any day now.  Thanks to all who posted.
I looked up the Carhartt hoodie.  Nice.  I hate their web site.  Big notice saying if you dismiss their cookie pop up or continued looking they will load you down with cookies anyway.  I looked for a place to comment.  I wanted to request a box of oatmeal raisin, but in case they didn't have any, chocolate chip would do in a pinch.  Couldn't find a place to request or leave my mailing address.  Got me in a huff.  Carhartt cookie swindlers.  Best wishes.  G

I've never had a problem with their Web site. Maybe I'm spoiled because there are two stores in my city.

I don't like how every site now has to leech onto your information.  It is really hard to get straight information anymore as well.  I tried to find out when one of my cousins died in a town not too far away.  Nada.  I found someone with the same name living in the city.  Same name.  Same town. Listed their friends.  Said that person was living right there today, and had been since 1880.  The site listed his age as 145.  Only some server somewhere could believe that.

Best wishes.  G

The Pop Tart and the Toast-em companies were locked into a death struggle years ago.  They did lots of advertising during the 'toons and other kiddie shows.  They didn't have a frosting in those days.  The Toast-em people made their snacks just a little bigger than the Pop Tarts, but the Pop Tart name stuck as the common means of nomenclature for toaster goodies.  There was a snappy Caribbean sounding jingle for the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Toast-ems.  It still floats around in my head.  Caused me to beg my poor mother to go buy a package.  I hated them and never asked for any more.  Best wishes.  G

I remember them well Gary!  I could never get a taste for the brown sugar cinnamon toast ems either.  Blueberry was always my favorites.

How did you chip the scale on your blue one, Barry?  So far, I don't think I have dropped a see-through on anything hard yet.  I never have cracked a cellidor either.  Can't say the same for the nylon scales on my 108mm.  They are split and held on with glue.
For some reason I can't find the blueberry pastries now.  They were always good.  The brown sugar cinnamon type are better with the frosted coating.  I finished off several cases of MREs this winter.  One brand had two brown sugar cinnamon Pop Tarts in each MRE.  They were heavily squashed and required a little finesse to separate them before popping them in the toaster.
Raining here again.  I mowed and weedwacked within an inch of my life trying to finish before it got too wet.  Supposed to be plenty more coming.  Too bad there is no market for Purple Dead Nettle.  I have a bumper crop in my yard.  A type of mint.  Used to be common as a homemade diuretic in folk medicine days.
Best wishes.  G

For the life of me, I don't know how or when Gary.  I discovered it the other week.  That's a first for me and SAK scales!  It's actually been sunny here the last day.   Got the mowing done and my son did the edge trimming.  Still, half my yard is a bog.  It's going to take awhile to dry this up.

Have a great day!
Barry
