Day 10

  [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

The small blade helped open some mail at the office today. I didn’t take a picture because I wasn't sure I wanted to explain what a “Swiss Army knife challenge” is…

No one is anti-pocket knife at my office, and they are certainly used to me having a SAK and using it. But I thought I would spare them our particular brand of crazy…  :ahhh

 :D :climber:

Think we all know about explaining a challenge….you do what? You upload a pic of your SAK everyday? Don’t they all know what one looks like? Etc

 :rofl:

I usually say something like, "The internet wants to see what I use it for," and most people seem to accept that. (Maybe they think I'm a fabulous influencer  :hatsoff:)

My one friend dated a girl who really liked hearing about the badges for some reason.

Day 11

Put the leg back on a desk after a prank.

I was lucky in that both my boys were in Boy Scouts so merit badges are well known in my home.  The out in the public pics I try to time for when I have no one around  :facepalm:

@BPRoberts: I know VSSR was used from 1986 to about 2005. When the crossbow side was changed escapes me.

@marlowe221: good thing the folks at your office aren't anti-knife!

@Echotech: I am not fond of those plastic staple things. Thread is slightly better.

@MTSAK: nice journal...and were you changing the oil in a Toyota?

@Fireman: what are the flowers at right? I know I've seen them before.

@GA1dad: sweet lantern!

@Barry Rowland: :like:

Another great day, y'awl!

Day 11

No use today, so here's a shot of the Hiker with some German 5-Pfennig coins (which I'm sure are obsolete by now). Hopefully the photo will clearly show that the one at bottom was minted before the Berlin Wall came down.

Thank you! And yes, I was. It's a 98 4Runner and isn't far from turning 333,000 miles. I love it.

In a rare event, I used the can opener for its intended purpose!

I’ll be honest. This is not my favorite way to open a can. But it works.

@Echotech: I have a sling bag that's about that old. But it hasn't seen regular use.

@GA1dad: work usage?

@Barry Rowland: add some coffee, and you're good to go!

@Fireman: :like: Maybe I'll get an outdoors photo in before the challenge ends.

@marlowe221: :dd: I'm assuming she's a mixed breed?

Another great day, y'awl!

Day 12

SAKs do have their limitations. Neither the can opener nor the awl could cleanly break the seal on this nicotine pouch can.

Almost no pic today, because I lost the Hiker! Somehow wound up back behind my desk. Now that the wiki is back up, I can see that tang stamp is dated to '92-05.
