Congratulations on joining the No Life Club, marlowe221! And nice to see another nicotine pouch user!

Day 18

You were going to get a photo of the Hiker and evidence of some nice weather, but there was no way it would have looked even okay (because a phone with its screen active was providing the evidence). Instead, you see the tools I've yet to use: screwdrivers and wire stripper notch.

Day 19: A pic of Mrs. R using the main blade to cut 550 cord we used to hold a tree in place after it was blown al.ost completely over from the storm the other day.

They’ve redesigned these tissue boxes to eliminate plastic which is a good thing but they’re also now difficult to open, Hiker to the rescue

Day 19

Was rushing around, between appointments, so I thought this Tuna MRE would be a good grab and go. Except it had a Jalapeno Beef Patty instead of tuna. It tasted like a depressed Tex-Mex meatloaf.

Bit of a slow day today. Used the time to sharpen some scissors.

DAY 19  It is a stunningly beautiful day today, and I wanted to  do work outdoors.  I got my wife a new Talavera strawberry pot, and we planted six plants in it.

Day 19

Nothing to report today, but I thought this picture would be appropriate given the MacGyver-related threads we have going on in the forum lately.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I got the set for Christmas, 2023 and watched every episode over the course of 2024. I enjoyed when I was a kid and found it just as wholesome and satisfying now.

To be perfectly honest, I found myself getting a little sad as I got towards the end of the series and the final episode, which I had actually never seen before.

Hope everyone is doing alright in the Forgotten Order of the Hiker!

Day 19:
Was in a rush this morning to get the kids out the door and forgot all of my pocket "stuff" at home next to my recliner. Sat down a few minutes ago and plucked a few ear hairs with Bigfoot's tweezers. Spared you the action pictures 🤣

The Swiss Army Knife Owner's Manual is conspicuously absent from my bookcase. And while I've never played cribbage, I can say that the oldest active U.S. Navy fast-attack submarine displays Vice Admiral Richard O'Kane's personal cribbage board in the wardroom.

Day 20

I found my piece of scrap 18/2 thermostat wire. Time for some wire stripping. The thin wire kept jumping out of the notch, so I abandoned the effort.

I like the impossible bottle and the MTo patches...but what are "pop can biscuits?"

Day 21

I used the awl for its intended purpose: making holes.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

As you can see, it went through all three layers of the can.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Granted, this was gratuitous usage, but I am glad those execrable things are gone. I just wish I'd stuck with my original plan and tossed them in a bag of dog smurf instead of the kitchen trash can. Yes, they were that bad. If you use nicotine pouches, stay far away from those Juice Head...things.
