One year ago today the Mrs was in the hospital due to pain and her seizures were out of control, the kid and I were home and doing nothing since it was late at night, yet I got a phone call from a nurse saying “could you please come up to the hospital, your wife would like to see the two of you” I was like “but it’s after hours”, she said “I know and I will have an escort waiting for you that will get you to our ward” so I was like ok ok, by the way what is this all about? She said she would explain more when we got in but she flatlined for 4min after a 25min seizure! So I had to go ask the kid (who was on his computer playing a game) if he would drive us up to the hospital and he said but it’s after hours, I know but mom wants to see us asap, so he’s like why, and I said she flatlined and she really wants to see us, the kid dropped his headphones and left his friends he was playing with without saying anything, the whole trip up we didn’t even say one word to each other, so we got there and were escorted by a security guard and when he saw her room he walked in and then ran to her and wrapped his arms around her, I spoke to the nurse in the hallway noticing the defibrillator machine right outside her door the whole time I spoke with her, then I walked in and it was my turn, so today it’s marked on the calendar (I WAS GIVEN A CHANCE AT A 2ND LIFE).. so later today we’re going to go out to go a few places and then out for dinner..

Thank you, in 10days it will be our wedding anniversary, this year will be the big “25”, we always said “together we make one”, because of my seizures my head wasn’t always there, yet she grad the top 5% of the US, so I had the brawn and she had the brains! I’ve just been in overdrive for the last year, and like a farmer who doesn’t get weekends off, I feel like that one lightbulb in a old dark room that no one’s turned off.. but with reading what everyone posts on the forum and some of the friends we have it just keeps me trying to shine bright..

Oh oh, and get this, our latest problem, our neurologist was arrested due to drug trafficking and also making patients take Rx that they didn’t even need, let alone too much of it, luckily we found another and since they knew what happened would take us right in and have an appointment next week rather then like 3 months from now..

Best wishes, Plumb.  Sorry that you two are going through all these trials and tribulations, but you can't go wrong with "I've Got You, Babe" by Sonny & Cher.  Granted, they divorced 10 years later, but that's not important right now

But seriously.  Your description of the farmer, or the single lightbulb in a dark room...I know how you feel.  Make sure to know your family loves you and you have friends all over the world here on MTO.

Thank you, we’ve been through so much, after she gave birth to our first kid they let me sleep in her room and at 12am they ended up waking us and told us they were moving him to a special hosp where he ended up spending 7months! Later we move and I end up in an accident due to a seizure or had one after(I have no clue) after that I loose my license along with my job, and because of that we loose our home, after 2yrs we finally start getting a chance and moved to start a new life, then the Mrs starts with all her problems, for every step forward we get smacked, but for some reason it just makes us stronger, and there has been a few times where it came very close, but we just seamed to fight through it and stayed together..
Trust me if it wasn’t for this forum and some of the members on here I would have been :crazy:

Oh oh, and get this, our latest problem, our neurologist was arrested due to drug trafficking and also making patients take Rx that they didn’t even need, let alone too much of it, luckily we found another and since they knew what happened would take us right in and have an appointment next week rather then like 3 months from now..
