Day 5:

I've been pretty happy with the Flex Companion.  I do wish it was about one layer thinner in the pocket, but I wouldn't want to sacrifice a tool to achieve that.  I also think it would be cool if they made one of the liners a little thicker and more robust in order to have a short bit of it protrude from the end of the tool as a large slotted (flat) driver / scrapping / prying tool.  Just like the old British army knives.

That would be nice. I find that one of my most frequent uses for carrying any tool is something like that.

Day 6

I dug out a Leatherman Leap to see how similar the engineering is for the removable blade. Same idea, just a bigger pivot and different locking system.

I've used the flex pliers, screwdriver and knife so far today.

wow, it's great to see those two one next to the other. :like:
Too bad about the Leap. It could have been expanded on into a bigger multi-tool with modular long tools.

Day 6, used short version scissors today and believe they may be a bit better than the longer version

Do the shorties unfold the same way the long ones do?

Day 6

Day 9001 of sharpening every blade Roxon makes. Eventually, I'll actually have all the ones I want sharp and in there.

Day 7

Making myself some day 7 breakfast with the SE blade which sawed right through this hard bread crust with ease! I would say it is one of the best bread cutters in my collection... On par with my butterblade Spirit even.

I will post a picture this evening, i did decide today to change my EDC again: The Flex Companion works much better as an Bit Driver, so i will this evening change the follow stuff: Instead of the Vic EvoGrip which might be a Bit difficult for the German Knife Laws, i will get my Alox Pioneer , the 2 Roxons get Tools that are not on the Pioneer like this “Scale Tool Holder”, and other stuff, sadly i have no other Flex Tools attachements in my Backpack, so i have now the Bottle Opener, Scizzors and Blade on the Companion i have allready on my SAK ..

Did also Order another Pack of Tools, unfortunately in Germany the are only available as Packs whit Tools you dont need .. : The Comp (again) , the Hook Tool, a “Pinsel” (wonder for what? ) and a Small Blade? Or was its an Awl?

DAY 5 (catch up)

I'm afraid I fell asleep before posting for yesterday (04:30 start)  ::)

No uses as nothing is broken and the only loose screws can't be fixed with any type of MT  :P

Not much chance of any use today either - but who knows  :dunno:
They don't like it up 'em!

It is still not evening, but i did use the Plier on the Flex to seperate these Ringbook Metall Ring from an Ringbook Notebook from the Paperstrip, later i did read on the Internet that these can go whitouth seperating directly to the Paper Bin, because the Metal gets removed whit a Magnet on the Recycling Factory, but it was quite "Meditative" ^^

As far as im in reach of my Pocket Knive Collection, and my other Flex Tools, i will post my Picture for today .. , in Germany its now 3:40 pm ..

Day 7
Used the chisel on the Companion to open a bottle of whiskey.  I used the curve to cut the tamper seal by twisting.

Day 7:

I had to remove the metal plate on my bedroom door.  For some reason the people who rushed it on there drilled the holes about 2mm off and the door will not close.   :(

That sounds real nice mate! Happy birthday!  :woohoo:

I'm hanging out with my kiddos, the Flex is on Lego separation duty.  :multi:

I made a collage of some of the Flex uses from yesterday. It only let me put 6 pictures in there, but there were also other uses. I've been using the awl a lot as a small utility blade and box opener.

Day 8, Sherry, I really like the Roxon Chisel & Wire Stripper as well. I used my grinder to put in the extra 40 degree extra edge that  Victorinox calls a “cable cover longitudinal cutter” or what I call “ballistic package opener” or I suppose even a “wine foil cutter”.  Such a fun tool to fool around with.
