Day 17

My main keyboard is in need of repair, so I had a spare standing by.  Used the screwdriver to undo the area where the batteries insert.

Great use of the screwdriver and nice pic, FoBe! :like: :tu: :tu:

Nice pic VICMAN  :multi:

How are you finding the Arc? I honestly need another multi tool, like I need a hole in the head...but in real world use are other leatherman tools better?

Thank you, gra_farmer!

I love the ARC. The Magnacut blade takes and holds a very good edge. The plier handles snap into place when you open them. I like the size and shape of the plier. The other tools are easy to access. :)

New flashlight just arrived last night. Best 10 bucks I've spent in a while. Thrunite Saber, just over 650 lumens in a pretty small package. Only two modes high - low. The only thing that would.improve it would be a moonlight mode. But for 10 bucks on the big river site right now, absolute a 10/10.

@gra_farmer @kaevin: best wishes for fast and full recoveries!

@Barry Rowland: you have more than one garden tractor?

@VICMAN: :hatsoff: and glad to hear you're enjoying the Arc!

@Antti Lammi: :like: Rallying never achieved big-time success in the States (that I'm aware of). Shame, really.

@SubMY: I'll look into Thrunite. And you did exceedingly well with that cast iron. Its the best cookware out there, in my opinion! :tu:

@GA1dad: I've never had Cheerwine. That will have to change.

@LoopCutter: :like:

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 17

I couldn't find a loose screw, so I made one and tightened it back up again.

Day 16

(Image removed from quote.)

PST went along for the ride to the local swap meet. Scored a nice set of Lodge dutch ovens for cheap. One ceramic and one raw cast iron. Not sure if anyone likes cast iron or cookware, but there was a surprising selection today, multiple Le Creuset pans and even a vintage Wagner cast iron. I decided the Le Creuset were more than I cared to spend on a whim and the Wagner was a fry pan with the griddle on the bottom, and I already have one, so I left it.

We have several Dutch ovens and cast iron pans. The best way to cook.

We had 3 tractors last year. Down to 2 now.  But, they’re all old and can’t seem to part with them for a fancy new riding one.

Yessir, but there's a story behind it.  The first one we had and inherited the second one from my father in law (another original Leatherman fan). I have about 2 acres of grass to mow so it's nice to have when one of my sons is home and can help me mow.

I don't have any pictures of it but I used the large straight edge to remove a piece of the mount for a commercial grade can opener at church today.  I was the dish washer and we needed to clean it and couldn't get it out.  PST to the rescue!  It also cut a box.

Thrunite is obviously not a super highend brand but all the ones I've had from them have been great.  :tu:

And yes I was more excited than I care to admit about the castiron.  My wife already has one of the ceramic ones that she uses to cook bread in, so she rolled her eyes a little at me bringing home another one. Our conversation went a little like this:
"I already have one for bread making, what are we going to cooking in this one?"
"Well now we can make TWO loaves"

To say she thinks I'm on the slow side is an understatement.

I'm glad your son is ok.  That coffee looks good!

Thanks VM and Barry. Bug stung was our first guess, since he is on steroid (inhale type) we were worrying about some kind of inflection that could go bad. Luckily the doc said it is not serious.
