I ask this every year, and my hopes and dreams are always shot down, but… can I use a Bond?

It’s the modern PST.

I'm in if I can find another PST or the courage to risk my JPST.

The Flair and Sideclip are allowed, so I vote "Yes" with my zero-impact vote  ;)

I still feel as though the Bond should have it's own Challenge. I'm surprised no one has done one yet  :dunno:   It's been two years or so.

We could have a non-locking or UK/Europe-friendly Challenge. Open it up to PSTs, Bonds, Minitools, all the Juices…

Sure, that would be a good one as well.

Seems like the Bond should have it's own challenge.  :dunno:

This thread is for the PST Challenge, please feel free to start another thread to gauge interest in another challenge

I've got a 99 PST and an undated one.  And two PSTII models.   Sort of not wanting to use them hard means I would be carrying the Rebar for regular jobs and relegating the PST to easier tasks.  I'd have to actually caret TWO Leathermans...unheard of, I know...

Why'd they name it Bond, anyway?  Why not PST III?

No reason not to use a PST hard. I used mine hard for almost 20 years before I wore it out.

https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?topic=76337.0

There are plenty still around on Ebay for less that $45.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=Leatherman+pst&LH_BIN=1&_sop=15

Using a Rebar during the challenge kind of defeats the spirit of the Challenge.

Being UK legal and Bond being a fictional hero from the UK I'm assuming

I think that’s a coincidence. I reckon whoever owns the rights to James Bond would be all over Leatherman like a rash if they even hinted at a connection.

Back on track, the PST award was the first one I got back in November 2022. I remember it being a very easy challenge, as it really is a brilliantly designed tool.

I'm in. Guess I'll risk the JPST in the event I can't scare up a more common U.S. PST in time. This will be an "at home" challenge for me, anyway.

Will be my first challenge! There are some list of rules for this kind of challenges?
Except that you need to post a picture everyday, that I understand it, but it's ok if it's a random picture or you need to post a picture when you actually use the tool?
I work from home and I don't get too much 'action' home neither because I have two kids under 2 years old and my time is usually shared between them and work.

Photos of the tool when it's not in use (we call them "glamour shots") are perfectly okay. I endeavor to get as many in-use photos as possible.
