Day 11

Received a never opened Bond today, an eBay purchase.  Has a logo from a company.  Haven't figured out which company yet.
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

Day 12/30 : Napoleon Ist contemplating his archenemy, the English Bond

In reality, my eldest forgot his history book on my desk, and the Bond was not especially used today.

Real question : since the Bond came out with the Curl family, are we to understand the word Bond in relation to a maritime vocabulary ? Could the real English speakers shed some light on what you hear with that word ?

The only thing I could think of is Bondi blue (of iMac G3 fame for guys my age). The original Bondi Australian township name seems to be derived from the Aboriginal word boondi meaning water breaking over rocks. That would correspond to Curl and Wave, but I'm just guessing here. Anybody has the real story behind the name ?

I don't.  I'd love to know too!

Day 12: Cold here today (26 degrees F/-3 degrees C) so we cut open another bag of wood pellets.

When looking at this picture, I marvel at how much this took looks like a PST and yet how different it is.
