Nothing better than a pile of fried blue gills, lake perch, and or crappie slabs, served up with fried potatoes and homemade bread and strawberry jam, hot coffee after a day on the ice. Almost could not keep the eyes open while cleaning up the kitchen.
The warm air in the house would induce a comma carrying you into Sunday morning.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

DAY 21

The Bond with my double sided Leather Strop, Whitby Sheffield Sharpening Steel, and EZE-LAP "M" Diamond Sharpening Rod.

90% of the time I use the Whitby to simply realign a knife edge so that I don't have to remove any metal. It will keep a knife razor sharp.

The Strop is my second choice and if I need to remove some metal I use the EZE-LAP followed by the Whitby or the Strop.

I wonder if anyone has tried to put this new blade style in a Rebar yet  I need to track one down to see if they fit, if not :ahhh cause I do like the newer blade on the Bond vs the Rebar blade :dd: :like:

That is a great idea, Mr. Geer  :tu:

I like the blade as well!

But to add to a REBAR seems redundant as the Serrated Blade is a Sheepfoot style blade.

Here are my usual pattern cutting blades, comparing to the Bond blade.

I was also surprised at the size of the Bond is when next to the Rebar!!!  I had not ever placed side by side.  And you already know how I like my REBARs😉
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Just some general up keep today. A little cleaning, inspect for condition, lube the pivots, and sharpen the blades if needed.
