Day 3I tried out Gary's rubber band suggestion and it works like a charm. Crazy thing is, I didn't remember to try this until this afternoon. Yet, I don't recall it opening in my pocket yesterday or this morning. (Image removed from quote.)
Day 4I am trying very hard to allow my keychain tool to be my goto tool. Trying is a key word…Today preparing a report, and needed a few page markers. Light blue looks good, and paper was within reach. My LM PS is bladeless, but has scissors, small scissors to provide a reasonable description. First, a disclaimer, I am typical LEFT HANDED, do scissors and I normally do not function well together. So I tried! [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] Not great, but functional. Yet, I normally just use a knife blade, and trace the blade over imaginary lines, a neat score is accomplished and a clean separation results So, I tried with the scissors. It scored the paper, not cleaning, but enough to allow a tear. A sample is the curvy pattern. A attempt 😜
Day 4 Rain and a big cooldown here. I covered up the bulbs that had been dug up by the varmints. Naturally, they saw where the ground had been disturbed and their critter craniums interpreted that as, ' Somebody has been moving dirt. Must be something yummy buried under all that.' So they dug it all up again. I put out some leftover mixed vegetables from a can. Mostly diced carrots. Nope. They won't eat carrots or almost any green vegetable. They had rather dig up daffodil bulbs. Come to think of it, the bulb digging could have been in retaliation to the carrot snack. How dare you offer us these orange things, we'll dig up your flowers again. Take that. Best wishes. G [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
I'm a lefty too, Gordon. The Vic scissors were the reason I started carrying a SAK because function left handed scissors were impossible to find back then. I know what you're saying with using the keychain tool as the primary tool! It's definitely taking some getting used to.
DAY 4Fitted a 3d printed attachment
How dare you try to feed themThe scoring method with blade is often my preferred as well. The Style scissors aren’t too bade but definitely not SAK scissors.Fellow lefty here as well. Left-handed scissors make a bigger difference than I expected. Pretty cool. Looks like it could be handy. I saw a hammer one for the Style on Etsy but thought that would be useless on such a small.
Lefties unite (left handed that is)LC, Barry, Sos, me too….anyone else?
Day 3, part 2. Small tools are MUCH easier to carry, thus I'm able to keep better track of using 'em. I can carry the Squirt in my shorts all day and not notice it. Cut the bent end off filament with the Squirt P4, and later the Swiss Tech--as the Squirt and my phone were on the work table, not the folding workbench where my printer is set up. [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] Found a file for a belt holster for the Squirt P4, but the version I printed was for a narrower belt than my old farm store "Made in Mexico" belt, so I'll have to do another. May do internal supports to make the insides of the belt loop and sheath cleaner. Holds decently, but I think I'm gonna do the wide belt slot version in TPU. Another Gerber keychain tool. Gerber Mini Suspension. It's more robust than the Dime. It lacks the package opener and has probably the worst nail fille I've ever seen.
What is that green tool?
