DAY 5:  I got this tool used, so I can't say how good the scissors used to be.  My guess is that they were never as good as Vic Classic scissors.

That's how I keep the house intact Gary...the challenges keep every nut, bot, screw, etc. tight!! 😂
Day 5

Swiss+Tech made it down to the Dollar Tree.  Back when I carried this same plier thing for 15 days, I went out of my way to tighten something or whatever.  Just so I could say I used it for stuff.  So far, nothing has arisen that would legitimately allow the usage of this thing.  I carry it and check now and then to see I haven't lost it.
Best wishes.  G

It's hard to top Vic scissors.

I believe the Mini Suspension is the same as the Clutch, which I carried for most of undergrad and some time after. Great little tool. I liked mine more than the Dime I eventually replaced it with. Can confirm the nail file isn't great (the cleaner is solid). I forget what happened to it. Probably just abused the little thing too much. That was before I got into full size multis, so I definitely asked it to punch above its weight sometimes.

Day 4

Barry has it right. This is the kind of thing I missed last month carrying only knives last month. See a loose screw? Fix a loose screw. Done and dusted.

Like Rosie Ruiz, I am joining the race late.     I will add 4 catch-up days on the end.

I am happy to take the Lucky 13 slot.

My current favorite production model in this class is the NexTool S11 series.  Its right up there around the Squirt in terms of design and manufacturing, IMO.  Though just slightly larger.  The Pro version adds a blackwashed finish to the tools.

Juice is carried on the key chain, but the upper limit... damn handy size, and only slightly larger than the mirca

Day 5

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I want the PS to be successful, not having a blade will be an uphill CHALLENGE 😉

Last night late, I stumbled upon my SWISS TECH, screwdriver tool. With a NiteIze flat tool attached.  Been years since I had this on my work keys!

So pairing it up with the PS before I yield to the plier-tool or Sheffield (Micra lookalike)

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Yes, powernoodle, I want one .
However, with the day looking like crap around here with the rain and clouds, all I have to present today is my old Dime.  It'll have to do.

Day 3, part 2.

Small tools are MUCH easier to carry, thus I'm able to keep better track of using 'em.  I can carry the Squirt in my shorts all day and not notice it.
:iagree: I use to have heavy pockets with everything, but now I really appreciate smaller lighter carry.  Other than phone and waller, a 3 layer SAK and AAA flashlight are the largest I like in my pockets.

Looking great everyone!  Okay, for the first mini challenge, scheduled for Friday.  Post a pic of your keychain tool and your favorite book.  It can be on any subject, as long as you post the picture with your current keychain challenger.

I'm looking for someone to volunteer for the next mini challenge, scheduled for Friday 15 August.  Just let me know!

Day 5: A tool on the Dime that gets it done!!

Day 6

I'm not really sure what is going on in Pennsylvania.  Authoritarian signs.  No photos allowed without permission.  Black clad marchers goose-stepping in the streets.  What's next?  Have to show your papers to get a Sno-Cone?
Things are more sedate down here.  Finally stopped raining long enough that I had no excuse for not weed wacking some.  I must have left my work pants out on the porch.  Covered with plant particles.  They are probably still out there, unless the raccoons dragged them away last night.
I finally got around to fixing the loose scales on a SAK.  I still had some epoxy, so that is what I used.  Here is a photo of it in my usual set-up.  Those are thin pieces of plywood and some C-clamps.  This has to be the loosest SAK I own.  Hold it up sideways and see light come through.  Someone must have used some funky glue on the back-side scale and made it sag inward.  I replaced that one, but don't think I glued that side?  I have had the front-side scale off a few times, and it was rattling loose.  Fixed that.  I have an 84mm that needs some glue.  Might do it today.
Best wishes,

Well,  let's poke the hornets nest today, shall we.

Victorinox seems to add a KEY RING to many of their knives.  Now granted the 58mm and the 74mm lines seem to be nearly perfect for attaching to your keys, but the 91mm line might be a stretch...
But, my Deluxe Tinker does have a KEY RING and it also has a really nice pair of PLIERS.

I think I've said enough today.
