Day 25: I couldn't get a grip on this Pepsi tab, so I thought this might work.  Mission accomplished!  I'm looking for a bottle to do this with.

That first one is my hiking kit Gordon.  Opie has a louder whistle to boot and is a good food cutter too!

My exact thoughts!  Can barely get a peep from the signal’s whistle.   The Opinel means business and rounds out the SIGNAL with a second very capable blade.

The Vic OHT is also a solid compliment, but missing a cork screw which is good for untying errant rope knots.

The Climber/Spartan combo is perfect for my suburban adventures.
Can handle shoelace knots, open wine bottle, slice cheese or summer sausage, even spread toppings on crackers.  2 is better than one, and three is even more better😜.

 The MTo way!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Day 26: Discovered my running shoes have some lat/long coordinates too!  The shoes coordinates are in northeast China, across the Pacific from Portland.

I will try that on the bracket of a closet sliding door, where there is not enough clearance for my ARC to get in there.   :ahhh

It's the only way I can get into some of the hinges on our doors.  I picked up that bit kit from Sears before they closed, and it's great to have.

I had read your hack you learned with the string to help keep the bit in place. Interesting!
But my first question I have now that I have a SIGNAL, is why would the two  box wrench sizes be included? (1/4 “& 3/16”)

I have not figured out what equipment I would have in my pack that could utilize or benefit these wrench’s. Other than if I had a set of 1/4” bit drivers with me.  But, then my set of 1/4” bits have a flat ratchet handle in the case.

And, second observation is that these are recessed enough, how good of a set would either wrench provide to grab the nut attempting to tighten or loosen.

I do understand the use of 1/4” bits  is a hack, that can be accomplished by using the extender options, I have these already in my kit for my Rebar and St300.

Hikers, campers please help.

Gordon, I just went through my gear too, and I couldn't find anything that would use either size.  I thought the tensioners on my trekking poles, but no.  I then went to my camp stoves and nothing there.  I know of nothing else and I even reread some of the reviews from camping and hiking blogs.  Pre Signal, I used the pliers on my Swisschamp to tighten up my trekking poles.

Just maybe someone can chime in with insight!

I followed the SIGNAL CHALLENGE last fall, and was able to avoid a purchase.  And, then you tackle your solo quest!   And, I cave, I truly tried to sidestep my lust. The Color, the TEAL or AQUA, just broke me. I just had to have, not just Aqua handle, but the BO implements.

No regrets.    There are features I like, especially the handles and ease of utilizing control of the plier head.
The blade and saw are functional, as is the AWL.

In a short summary, the SIGNAL is an enhanced SKELETOOL.

AND, I REALLY LIKE THE COLOR OF MY SIGNAL!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!
