:woohoo: :woohoo: Beautiful my friend!!  I think I've found my new favorite!  The Signal covers just about everything I do, and it's a real conversation starter too!  People see it and are intrigued by the color, even non multitool folks.

It's been a fun one Poncho!  Leading Gordon down the Signal rabbit hole  :D.
I've had some great support from him and everyone here!  I've not done a lone challenge in quite a long time, and everyone has been great in supporting me

Day 29: I think I found a bottle opener that even tops the Dime, and that's saying something!  The Signal has an excellent bottle opener.

That is an exceptional picture!   :tu:

Yes, the carabiner does function very well as a cap lifter.   Have also tried it on a Mexican soda (non twist) .

I am still not confident just hanging a SIGNAL from my pack via the carabiner, it presently goes inside my pants pocket or outside pack pocket.

I like the SIGNAL much more than a Skeletool.  Whistle is the only failure I have experienced.

I agree.  I can't see hanging it outside a pack when you have access to a sheath or pockets.  To me, it's just not worth the risk of losing it.

The whistle on mine isn't bad, but it's no where near the whistle on my Opinel.  If I were stranded and needed a whistle, it's an easy choice!

Thanks Gordon!  Trying to find a cap to pop open is no mean feat these days!

Bonus picture: Installing a new rear wiper on Pam's car.  The main blade cuts that package open with authority!

Is today Barry’s Day 30, the finish line of his Challenge?

The saw was tested this morning, some tree limbs were blown onto the patio from yesterday’s high winds ands and 50+ mph gusts.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

A glamour shot after the task was done.  The saw blade  does cut long limbs to manageable sizes.

And, looks good doing it too😎

Right you are Gordon, day 30!  Great use and pic sir!  I've thoroughly enjoyed this past month with the Signal.  For me, it does everything I usually need and a couple of extras to boot.  I mainly use the knife and all on my multitools, in that order, and the blade is easily accessible.  This is my first "more expensive" Leatherman, and I was amazed at how smoothly it opens.  The fit and finish were superb, but that is typical Leatherman across the board.  The saw gets it done, and the cap lifter is excellent!  I love the color combos that the Signal comes in.  Not only do they look good, but they're easy to spot.  The only tool I'd add, and I have no idea where, would be a file.  The striker starts a good fire.  The whistle isn't bad.  It's a workable device, but there's louder.  This is sometimes billed as a survival tool, so it fits the need.

I plan on reopening this thread in a few months and posting some camping and hiking uses.  For me, this is way too good of a tool to just hang in the pack for woods time.  This tool, with the exception of challenges, is going to do a lot of EDC for me.   I almost hate to carry this color combo and mess it up since it's discontinued.  Gordon, now you're leading me down the Signal path ...that Topo green is nice!!

I'd be a miss if I didn't thank Farmer X for trading me for his Signal.  Dan, it's going to see a lot of love.

Thank you all for accompanying me down this trail.  More to come!
Barry

Great Summary Barry!   :multi: :ahhh

Yes, I did suffer the agony of  :assimilate:

I am sure you will have more to share as the weather becomes favorable for more outdoor adventures.

Thank you for your admiration of the TOPO model I now have on display.   But, I will admit, FolderBeholder’s acquisition pushed me over the edge for need to display.

Great job! Congratulations on completing your solo SIGNAL CHALLENGE!

Now take those dogs for a stroll. 😉
