Hello I'm Kev and I live in the City of Durham in the UK. I have just started collecting SAK and I should be receiving my first SAK tomorrow a new Forester.
I'm looking forward to being a member.

Merit Badges Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. Participate in a Challenge thread, carry knife/tool with a blade 4" or longer, and post a photo every day for 30 consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread, carry at least one green edc item, and post a photo every day for 30 consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread, carry a Victorinox Hiker, and post a photo every day for 30 consecutive days. Must start a thread with a photo of at least five (5) of your watches Build your own version of an MRE using off-the-shelf components, post a photo of the completed MRE and store at room temperature for 6 days or more. I was looking at the trail master so that could well be my next purchase. 👍

We have a group on Facebook as well, but honestly, this forum is much better.  Most of what happens on Facebook is people posting pictures of their EDC items and that's it.  No one really discusses much there.

It's good if you like to look at pictures with no context it is great, but if you actually plan to use things or learn something about the items, well, it's not ideal.  And, it isn't great at archiving or search, so if you had seen something a month ago and want to find it again, it's very unlikely.  Searching things here is much better.

In short, I doubt you are missing much by not being on FB.   :tu:
