Day 13: Happy Swisschamp Sunday!  Gary, love that background  :D  from Barry Rowland

I remember you used to be a W-Mart man, Barry.  The tree and flowers are in a sort of built up planter area.  The employees sit on the raised curb and smoke a ciggie or drink a soda.  I have done that myself.  There are plaques along the top for W-Mart employees who have died, so it is a little memorial area.  Best wishes.  G

I sure was my friend, going on 35 years ago now!  I think that's a wonderful idea for remembering those who have passed on.

I love those scissors on my Swisstool.  I think probably the best scissors in any multitool!

Day 13 - this classic SD lives on my toiletry bag and goes with me whenever I travel and has done so for years! Mostly for mustache work but sometimes fingernails or something else when no one has scissors around

Church, Walmart and now hanging around the house. Amazon delivered my Atari 7800+ today so I'm playing some Crystal Quest and checking out comparability with my 2600.

Day 13

I've reached for a multitool a couple times in the last couple weeks. The Gerber on the shelf was the closest pair of pliers, the SAK in the drawer was the closest screwdriver, that kind of thing. I don't really count those as cheats for a challenge like this, since it's just filling in for a dedicated tool that's an extra 10 feet away. Today is the first time I actually had to grab a multi.

Went over a friend's house for brunch and the arm of my chair was wobbly. I tried shifting it back in a couple times, but never got anywhere. Eventually I looked and saw there was a hex head bolt in there that was loose. I asked if he had an allen wrench set or anything, but he didn't. So it was off to the glove box for the PowerLock and bits. Didn't have any hex, but one of the torx fit well enough. How Nessmuk survived for so long with no multitool I'll never know.

I don't do much where I need to carry a fixed blade any more so this is probably my most carried fixed at this point.

(Cooking/kitchen and workbench/craft knives don't count)
I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.

Day 13

My Leatherman  Tread is always on my right wrist whenever I leave the house.  It's come in handy several times when I needed a flat head, Phillips, or something of the sort and I didn't have my multitool/SAK on me.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Woo hoo!  I knew you hadn't been reading comic books in class.  Not all the time anyway.  That's a good solid 6 points for following instructions and a 'attaboy' for the cute copper flashlight.  Best wishes.  G

I remember when chewing gum or eating candy in class was just about as naughty an act as could be perpetrated.  Once the teacher cast her baleful eye on you and did the walk up to your desk, you were in for it.  She would ask the usual question, "Is that gum you are chewing?  Did you bring enough for everyone?"  Some teachers would make you swallow it.  Others were more sadistic and would mash it on your nose for you to wear.  Generally she would just hold out her hand and you would have to put the wet little wad in her palm.
If friend Gra were caught doing a naughty for handling his flashlight in class, the teacher would ask if he brought enough for everyone to have one.  Help my soul, I think he brought enough flashlights for the class.
Points?  Let's see.... I see a little scratchy lighter thing.  Check.  Red and blue.  Check.  Flashlights?  Oh yeah.  Full 7 points awarded.
Best wishes.  G
