Back to Your Roots Challenge - Any interest?

The idea of this challenge would be carrying and using the first knife and or MT you ever had for 30 days.
Bonus points if you still have the original item. But if not, replacement in kind would be permitted (e.g. I know it was a Vic Tinker, but lost it years ago, so using a new one).
Month would be completely up in the air at this point. Just seeing if there is any interest.

Sounds fun, I have both my original pen knives, as we called them, from when I was a kid still. Would be great to use them again

I think this challenge is not for me.
The first knife, of course, disappeared long ago, but I have exactly the same one and, frankly speaking, I don’t see any difference between it and the “otter mercator”, which I’ve had with me every day for about 6 years.
My first multi-tool, Swisstool Spirit, is still with me for 20+ years and always ready to work.
Damn... Not an old man yet, but definitely old... Wow.

Eh, why not?
Most of my stuff is pretty decent, though I'm not sure about using that Apex/Imperial Ireland MT. It sucks, but it was the only MT my Granddad ever used, and the only one I had after he let me have it out of the tractor toolbox--from about 2010-2014. That's when I got my first Gerber as a birthday gift. May go with that MP450 instead.
34OT I'm fine with, as is the Fieldmaster.

I'm interested. I have a few firsts: a replacement of the first knife I was given, my first Buck, and my first Vic.

I awlready did a Classic challenge (my true first knife), but like Fireman, maybe I'd do a first "grown up" knife or something. I'd say I'm a maybe, and that my dance card is currently open September, October, and December.

I'd actually like to do another Classic or Spartan Challenge. This may be the way to do it.

My first would be a Huntsman knock-off, which I have given to my brother, so I could use a proper Huntsman.

This interests me but I'm not sure what I could carry?
My first SAK would have been a 70's souvenir type thing from Windsor Castle/Hampton Court (think Petrol/Gas station knife) I could use a Spartan/Tinker
My first lock knife would have been a 70's UK mail order type rip off of a Buck. I have a similar UK version issued to me at the moment but it's not a Buck.
My first MT was the OG PST (Army issue but lost/stolen on excercise) I have a JPST that I could use.
Then there's the UK carry laws and my deployments (think restrictions on kit allowed to be carried etc.)
They don't like it up 'em!

Reading replies reminded me that I still have my first PST. I've done challenges for all o f them except by Buck 319 Stockman, which was the first knife I bought for myself.

Interestingly enough, a friend just came by and gave me the newer version of the first nice knife I ever had. I might be up for the challenge.
