Hello from France
on: January 09, 2026, 04:49:13 PM
Hello world ! (Of multitools) :)

I'm from France, so excuse me in advance for my poor english language

I am trying to collect the main retired leatherman multitool, just because ;)

I already have :

8 PST
1 pulse
1 core
1 kick
1 fuse
1 bond
1 crunch
1 mini tool
1 pst II
1 super tool
1 super tool 200
1 wave original
1 tread (large)

Still looking for blast, charge titanium, surge original, flair, fuse knifeless, sideclip.

But my second goal is collect 1 PST of each period.

I've got :

1 Japan
1 no datestamp
1 1999
2 2000
1 2001
1 2002
1 2003

I saw there is a book, written by someone here (Legend ?), I would litteraly love to buy this book. If someone knows where to buy it, please let me know !

Oh, I've got several other multitool, by the way, but I'm focused on Leatherman (I've got a PST with me, each days of each years, since 2000 :) ).

For me, the PST is the ultimate Leatherman.

Well, feel free to ask me anything if you want, I'm happy to talk with peoples who like Leatherman's as I like them :D

See you !

The book you inquired about is written by our own Brenton Covington.

I will revise this with his MTo name

I purchased my copy directly from him.

You need to make 5 posts before you can send a PM.  One more post will be enough.  Best wishes.  G

Oh, thanks to you for that ! I'm trying to be as fluent as I can, but not easy for me (you know, this "legend" about frenchies who can't speak any language but french... well unfortunately, it's true :D )

But I'll do my best ;)

Thanks to you all for your answers, I promise, I'll post some pictures of my Leatherman's. I saw some very rare PST here, I'm jealous ! (No I'm laughting) :)

See you soon guys !

No reason to apologize.

Reminds me of this,

What do you call a person that can speak several languages?  MULTILINGUAL

What do you call a person that can speak two languages?
 BILINGUAL

What do you call a person that can speak only one language?  An AMERICAN! 🥺

I reached out to LEGEND via PM. First printing sold out.

A second run is a possibility before fall 26. Looking into Paperback to reduce cost.

The book is popular, this second inquiry I fielded in two days. One here and one on FaceBook. So weird.

I don't think you have to worry too much about speaking French!

I hear the owner of this site is French Canadian, and the site admin is a Canadian who speaks French and Spanish and lives in La Havre.

But those could just be rumors.   :D

Bienvenu à toi sur ce beau forum !
You are at the right place to get information, make great friends, learn and share insights on all things Leatherman and multitools.
I'm right with you on that one : the PST just is the best tool there is (until you start considering the mods you can make) and I also carry it everyday.

I was afraid that this forum would have little activity, but I see that it is very lively, it's cool !

I'll post my (little :D ) collection, as soon as I find a place to post pictures (I dont understand how Photobucket works... shame on me  ).

Have a nice day !

Because we host our own photos to keep our archive accurate as much as possible, we have to reduce the size of photos for upload to the server.  Most forums purge information after a certain period, but much of the information here is not available anywhere else and so we have a duty to the collectors of the future to maintain it as well as we possibly can.

If you have an Android phone you can download an app (I use Image Shrink but there are many available) that will reduce the size of photos for you.  I believe iPhones have that feature built into them, but I don't know how it works.  I am sure someone here will be happy to help if you need it.

If you are using a Windows computer you can use either the email function or Paint to reduce the photos and I have posted a guide to that- I will post the link below.

Also, there is a maximum of four photos per post, so if I am posting more than four I usually break up my post, which makes it easier for people to read and follow along as well.

If you have any other questions, we are all here to help!

Thank you, I understood clearly  :tu:

Resizing images is not a problem, I use an old -but still usefull Windows tool for that, PaintShop Pro. I'll see for the hosting, maybe I'll use my own FTP Server to put images on.
