Glad to be here
on: February 17, 2026, 06:19:03 PM
Been lurking here a little while after falling into the LM tool trap (of my own making of course). I got my first LM (PST) in the mid 90's and loved it. Too much actually and had to send it in for repair. They sent me a brand new one which I thought was outstanding. Ended up with a 1104 version. Purchased several others over the years, all with an intended purpose, Signal for the backpack, Wave second gen for the glovebox, Cam for my bow case etc.

Fast forward to a few months ago and I am perusing Ebay and end up with an original Super Tool CC with the OG leather case. The tools is pretty dirty, some rust and the like. The case is solid. Well it shows up, I get a couple tools to work on it and it's off to the races. Initially thought I would just pick up some more abused ones, clean and resell them. Just a hobby, nothing serious. Well dang it if now I just want them all. Then I end up here and realize what a tool rookie I am for an old guy .

So, I'm glad to be here and look forward to learning more than a thing or two!  :2tu:

Welcome!

I started with a ST300, then a REBAR, and tried a few other LM MTs.

A new BOND, then curious how it awl started. Then a PST, another and another, a PST II, a BO version and do on and so on.

I do belief it takes longer many mornings to decide what tool to carry than it does to select which pants and shirt.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I started with a Micra and a PST II in the mid 90's and it got so bad for me I ended up started a multitool themed website and community.

Be careful, it's a slipper slope!  :P

I'm defiantly getting to that point quickly! Loving the Curl right now and just did the Wingman scissor mod tonight. I think mod'ing them is going to be my biggest downfall!

Welcome aboard, enjoy the forum!

  :salute:

Oh, and just so we're clear, you said it yourself, so no backsies:
Been lurking here a little while after falling into the LM tool trap (of my own making of course). (...)

Let the record show that the plaintiff admited that he had awlready fallen into the LM tool trap, so MTo and its members, past, present and future can not, in any way, shape or form,  be found guilty of enablerism... enablementation... enablermentarism... of making him go and buy stuff! So there!

 :pok: :pok: :pok: :pok: :hatsoff:

Had to make the pivot holes larger on both and don't have a drill press so freehand with Dremel and oval jewelers file got it done. Lock engages well after a little love and it works perfect. Not great scissors but better for my big mitts than the little Wave ones. Keeping both though for now. On to the next  :D
