Bucket List Models

Hey, Reinier, you seem to have a pretty large collection. Can I ask how you store all of your models? Do you have like a specific storage box or case or are you able to display them all somehow? I've been keeping mine in these plastic cases but I'd like to be able to possibly display some of them. Also, I'd prefer if they were all together somehow and not in like nine different small plastic boxes.

My collection is inside an IKEA BESTÅ cabinet with glass doors and glass shelves. I have run out of room
Apart from these shelf queens there are dozens of SAKs and SwissTools in drawers everywhere but those are users.

All boxes, manuals, packaging stuff is in two drawers in the same cabinet.

Oh man, that's beautiful. We have a lot of bookshelves in our teeny tiny house, but they're all filled with books. I actually don't think we have any wall space left at all. Hopefully we'll be able to move into a slightly larger place where I can put up one of those shelves. It's insane how much difference the glass shelves make...

Maybe you can replace your coffee table with a glass top display table

Dude, you wanna hear something? When I first flew out to The Netherlands to check out Leiden University, I had a layover in Brussels. And I thought to myself 'huh, let me check out how to say some things in Belgian and not just French'. It took me way too long to figure out that Belgians speak Dutch (aside from French)... I kept trying to find 'Belgian' on Google Translate and was very upset when I couldn't find it... And it's literally my job... like I'm a subject matter expert in Germanic languages (albeit, Germanic languages from the 4th-12th centuries)!

What's worse is that I had two very close Belgian friends in high school (I went to an international high school in Moscow) and somehow didn't remember that they spoke Dutch with the Dutch and South African students... I promised I'd never tell anyone about that gaffe, but lo and behold, here we are

Hey Reinier, I know you were looking for the blue alox KLu Master Craftsman, but do you have (or have you ever seen) the blue cellidor version of the same model? Apparently there was one produced with all five backside tools with blue cellidor scales.

So, I get to tick one off my bucket list! I actually love this thing so much. I would love to be able to get a new version of this with the newer file and a chisel on the back. But I think this has an incredible toolset (since I use the file a lot more than the saw on my Swisschamp). I'm not thrilled about the Marlboro branding since it's a constant reminder of the thing it took me about nine years to kick (especially since Marlboros were the American brand I smoked), but aside from that this is an amazing model.

For me, my bucketlist models are the 108mm models that are still missing in my collection. These are (as far as I know) the "Brookstone mauser" (basically a Mauser with "brookstone" on the front scale) and the TNI-AD Trooper (Trooper issued to Indonesian Armed Forces). I think those would complete the collection, but of course one can never be sure that no other variations exist
Also, a pristine Walther would be nice. I have one, but the Walther logo is almost completely rubbed off the scale.

Over the years I have had numerous Bucketlist models that after I found them decided to sell them again. I found a Voyageur multiple times... only to sell it again, regret selling it, and then trying to find another one 
Same as with the Yeoman. I had one three times and every time I was stupid enough to sell it again. I had a nice collection of rare Wenger models like the Director, Laser Pointer and Matterhorn Plus... all gone

     The scale brand should be much of an obstacle to someone who has already done several scale swaps.  I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't already have some used ones lying around that would be usable.  The Marlboro logo would annoy me every time I picked it up as well.  Actually, I don't like any of the logo scales as far as that goes.  Others collect them.  Different tastes.  Best wishes.  G
