Some much needed rain today and thought that my spirit deserved some time out of storage

Great picture Bill... and a rather intriguing companion  :like:

Ah yes, my current Spartan Saturday Companion Matt. White PS though I'm wary of putting it to any hard effort ... which the Spirit can tackle instead

For a while now I have decided to carry my Spirit on my pants belt even tho I have LMs on my work tool belt.  When I've taken off my tool belt I sometimes need to make small adjustments after I think I'm done .  I preferred my Swisstool to my Spirit but the Spirit just carried better because the sheath and size.  Here it is with its LM friends.

Seeking permission to join the club ! Here is my story.

I first got my spanking new Spirit X few months ago. I found it of extremely high quality, fit & finish very precise, have all the implements I have always wanted in a compact size. BUT it quickly fell out of favour after a few days as I found the scissors were too small for everyday use which diminished its usability substantially. It was unfortunate as I liked everything else a lot. It has since sat in my drawer, neglected.

About a week ago, and by fluke, I came across from other thread a gentleman suggested a way to mod the Spirit scissors. I was a little bit apprenhensive at first because of my very limited dremel skills. But in the end I went ahead anyway and the result is more than pleasing. It greatly improved the usability of the scissors for me and I have been carrying my beloved Spirit everyday since. I think I have found my perfect edc. Kudos to Matt who gave me this great idea for which I would like to express my thanks again. :salute:

Welcome to the club Cat  :salute:
I'm wondering whether to take the plunge and add a niteize clip to my Spirit. Yours looks great!

Thank you Magentus ! Yours and Alox looks great too ! :like:

I find the Nitze clip very secure (so far) and the metallic finish very closely blends in with the Spirit.

Don’t know if anyone noticed this, there is a lanyard attachement point on both the Swisstool and the Spirit...

(Image removed from quote.)

Never tried it out myself as I don’t use one on almost all my user MTs... as it’s close to the handle pivots, might even get in the way during use... maybe depends on type of lanyard or system used...

I just tried it and happy to report back it works perfectly for me. No getting in the way of the plier heads or implements. Looks more symmetrical and much better than using the corkscrew hole too. I am using 2mm thin paracord with snake knot. Thank you Jaya-man for your fantastic idea. :like: I love this forum !
