The Spirit is high on  :MTO:
The friendliest and most helpful grumpy bunch of tool addicts I've ever met  :D  :hatsoff:

And now you're part of it roamingcat
I'm glad you can appreciate your Vic. Spirit even more now.

Thank you for your kind words Matt. My Spirit is ever so grateful for all the help from all the nice people here  :salute: , as he is now my absolute favorite out of all my MT's after all the improvement ideas from here. Now I just have to find time to read through all 70+ pages in this thread

My current edc is now bit of a mixed bag:-

...
My current edc is now bit of a mixed bag:-

I do have the leather sheath from Vic. that holds the bit kit as well, and the Bit kit/L-wrench does flop around a bit.
I think the LM nylon sheath might hold it better together.

I find the coating on my Black Spirit much weaker then on the coating used on the RT. I suppose what they done on the RT handles was more expensive, and way more resistant to scratches...

Very nice  :tu:
How do you like the belt clip classicrock ?
I love the belt clip. Been with me since 2005. Well 14 years already. I put my Maglite, small whistle and 58 mm SAK there.

my black oxide is also sub-par, possibly the only negative thing I can think of with this tool, it's just an amazingly engineered gadget. A lot has scratched off the main blade, but the handles have been wonky looking since day 1

About a week ago, and by fluke, I came across from other thread a gentleman suggested a way to mod the Spirit scissors. I was a little bit apprenhensive at first because of my very limited dremel skills. But in the end I went ahead anyway and the result is more than pleasing. It greatly improved the usability of the scissors for me and I have been carrying my beloved Spirit everyday since. I think I have found my perfect edc. Kudos to Matt who gave me this great idea for which I would like to express my thanks again. :salute:

...and the other day your post reminded me of Matt's scissor modding thread from earlier and I took to my dremel as well, grinded a hair off of the tab and now it opens nice and wide, feels more capable. Thanks for the reminder and to Matt for the original idea!  :hatsoff:

Excellent work Exeter  :tu:

It was not my idea originally.
I think it was a post from Douglas somewhere where I heart about it first.
But I couldn't find a tutorial so I made one  :salute:
