I feel bad for Mr. Buell. It looked like he was going to burst into tears at any time.  :(
Sometimes change is a good thing, other times not so much!

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

  • Plants should be smoked, not eaten.
That's too bad. Even though I'd kill myself on a motorcycle I often dreamed of getting a Buell.

From what I understand, Buell and HD have been kind of on the outs for some time.  I doubt this is the last we'll hear of Buell- it may be a new company name (HD probably owns the rights to the Buell name now) but it'll be the same designers cranking new ones out.

Buell has always been about pushing the envelope and evolving the design and technology of bikes while HD has always been slow to embrace change and big on tradition, and I believe that is the source of much of the friction between them over the years.  Two opposite company strategies under the same roof doesn't always work so well.

it is a bad looking bike no dought. i have never riden a buell. i have had 2 harleys. a sportster and a fatboy. ATT the buell reminded me of an 80's version of the sportster. 80's tech on a 50's concept is a BIG improvement for sure. loosing the dina frame alone was a giant leap.
thing is, if buel had won the daytona or some superbike races things would have faired better for them and harley.
maybe buel would be better off designing bikes for companies that know how to build bikes with a 21st cenury mindset and technology.
