My wife gave it to me on our first or second anniversary. It’s a Citizen. I’ll have to look at the back to see the model.

:like:  Loving the variety of all these very nice carries! I've been on another spree of trying to rescue beat up 2nd hand tools. Today's specimen is a Fuse... Not sure what happened to the tips of the plier head. Looked like it had seen some pretty hot action!

I have a spare Blast plier head in the parts bin that should fit this perfectly but first I wanted to experiment. I cut off the needle nose for blunt pliers more suited for torque and added some 90° deep grooves for some bite when twisting. I will test this for some time before deciding what to do next.

Also I used the stuff a bit that lives in /on my wallet (and keytool) today.

@G-Dizzle: no hurry. I recently found a Citizen automatic on eBay, but I hadn't yet sorted out mail delivery, and therefore wasn't too willing to risk international shipping.

@customod: nice job! I have a Kick that received a blunt-nose pliers mod. If I'm able to find a replacement pliers head and the necessary wrenches, I'll change it and swap if needed.

@SteveC: you always have a great carry to share! :salute:

HF's HM Embody Repair
I have a couple of these Herman Miller Embody chairs. Luxury for me so I can sit in my different study / offices all the same. Both have failed in the upper rear "spine" attachment. Nothing like consistent failed polymer design. Anyway, when one failed I got the warranty repair gentleman to cough up two other mounts for the next date. Yeah, my other chair is white. Living with the colour mismatch in this case is not a problem.

The attachment parts are held in by a couple of self tapping T25 head fastener screws. After removing the screws with my old faithful modded Leatherman Charge TTi there's a bit of gigging around to remove and fit the new pivot mount fasteners but essentially it's a shelling peanuts level of difficulty especially second time around.

Thanks guys! Nice carr Steve and Heywood. That minichamp is a looker! /sigh for all those poorly designed plastic parts in the world...

I went ahead and modded the bluntnose Fuse a bit more. I changed the cross driver for a bit exchanger and added the file from a blast.

I also tested my awl/reamer long bit in the new exchanger and it almost closes all the way with it in place. Interesting at least as a test.

Great innovative mod and interesting pics as usual. Thanks for sharing customod.
Would you slightly shorten the awl to fit or does it usually live in another multitool?
I really need to do a descent job getting an awl to find in my LM bit exchanger. My current laughable solution is a 91mm SAK awl with a Devcon
epoxy metal bum that sits in the bit exchanger. It was a rush job with average outcome. Nonetheless it has actually worked OK on a few occasions.
These have been posted somewhere on MTO a while ago but for a laugh, you can see the masterful awl abomination below …

New cars are full of them, especially the plastic pans that go under the engine. I call them "plastic smurfholes."

Great carries, y'awl! :like:

@Heywood The awl bit lives in my wallet micro-tool box along with other LM and 4mm bits.

@FarmerX yeah, we are doing that two steps forward, one step back cycle with a lot of modern development,

I did some fence work today and the re-Fuse :D did great! I used the pliers for pulling and straightening nails, the new file for some  re-profiling, and so forth.

Even used my Gerber Curve (house key) with adapter to saw a little! The first picture is wallet and keys (and the mini t-shank adapter I made) , something I pretty much always have on me along with phone.

Oh cool! The Curve is a strange little tool and kind of underrated IMHO. I mean what other tool of that size has locking implements?

I bought mine over a decade ago when I was working in the USA at an outdoor store called REI. As you can see from the wear shown in pics, it has been carried and used nearly every day since. It has been opened and modded several times.
