crunch value
on: October 09, 2009, 07:48:29 PM
I bought my first crunch like 10 years ago for 60 bucks. I jsut bought another and was suprosed at their prices. waht is a decent price? is 80 more than usuall or is that the common price? does ebay have them for less very often? I am going to check ecay myself but I thought I would ask the leatherman fans what the current price should be so I do not pay to much.

See if you can wait for an actual auction.

Looks like recent Crunch eBay auctions went for between $28 and $51. Much better than the $70 buy it now option. You can probably do just as well paying attention to the secondary forum market, I usually see them go for $40-$50.

Take a look around Amish and Mennonite area flea markets. I got my Crunch ealier this year for 10 bucks from an old Mennonite farmer. Looks like Tim Leatherman has a following out in gods country.

on a side note i also found a SOG paratool and a ppp there too for under 20 a piece.

I've been eyeing Crunch's for a little while now.  I'm going to get one pretty quick but have been trying to get some of the retired Leatherman's first.  It seems that a decent online price is $70, not including S&H.  At retail stores they are up around $100.  Crazy price difference.
