Wenger SwissGrip Group Buy
on: May 29, 2007, 03:32:53 AM
I may have a line on some Wenger SwissGrips and I was wondering who might be interested purchasing one (or more?) of them?  I don't have a price yet, but these will be brand new in box, straight from Wenger themselves.

I'm just trying to gauge interest right now- if you want one, let me know, and I'll post pricing info etc as soon as we have them.  I'm also posting this in SOSAK, so please if you respond there for one, dont respond here (or vice versa) so I can get an accurate count.

Oh yes, I am most definitely IN.

Do you have even a rough idea yet of how much of a saving the group buy could be worth to us Def?

I have no idea yet...  I'll provide information as soon as I have any to give.  It's not a sure thing yet by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just trying to see if enough people are interested to make it worthwhile.

My contact at Wenger is usually pretty good to us though.

They made SwissGrips with either a phillips screwdriver or a corkscrew on the backspring. Most folks prefer to have the phillips, but I've already got one of those.

Count me in if I can get one with the corkscrew.  :-\

I don't think we'll need to go that far- you can take the stamp off his forehead...

Sorry, I'm out.  Today my truck breathed its last breath and I'm spending every penny I have (and lots of pennies that I don't have) on a new SUV.

These will be brought in by Wenger for us (and SOSAK) and should include sheaths and bits.

Wow, between MTorg and SOSAK, we're up to a pretty fair sized order, eh?

Maybe someone can hook me up, I've got an swissgrip in the original box with bits but I don't have a sheath. Could you work some magic for me Grant? That way I wouldn't have to buy the whole ensemble. I barely have money to pay bills and have been borrowing from my mom quite a bit till my job starts paying good.

Given that Wenger doesn't really exist anymore I doubt I'll be of any help.  I think the best you could manage would be to find something suitable from an aftermarket maker like a Maxpedition pouch.
