Like I just posted in another thread, why would you chose a UKPK over a Caly3 if the legality of a lock isn't a problem? Many people do seem to make that very decision, but all I know is that given the choice I'd chose the locker every single time.

Hey ShaneHonestly I totally get why you want the UKPK because I want one too. But consider this: you aren't going to be a student forever but you need a good solid knife now that you'll use in your job recreation and for school stuff given what your major is. Given all that if I were you I'd get the caly 3 because of the locking blade. Is it absolutely necessary to have a lock? Maybe not but why not for now? Do you use a locking or fixed blade now? Save up for the UKPK IMO, go for the caly 3 now.
