I like the raised panel on the Garringtons.

Hilka screwdrivers.  New to me.  Off to look them up.....

It does feel nice in your hand, this one is well used and well looked after (I've not seen this make before)
Hilka are a cheap make of ‘ok’ tools, I’ve not bought any since I first started work as they were rubbish back then but these feel quite good to me

Some perfect handle tools I’ve not seen before, but the hammers don’t look original to me?
https://www.flickr.com/photos/cycleczar/sets/72157623032660090/

PH did make hammers.  Most of the ones I've seen need more than a little TLC just to look marginal.  The one in the lower photo does look disproportionate.

Good haul, very rusty as always and nice looking screwdrivers. Ever heard of that trick where the guy licks the screwdriver handle and his tongue goes numb? Cellulose Acetate Butyrate, fun stuff!!!

I found this nice little axe at a local market on the weekend. New handle, forged head. Cost me $20

Bit of fiddle back is always nice. Fairly good grain orientation.

Tyre has been off car for over six years. It is a 24 inch off a 1925 Dodge Brothers Tourer. I flat spot it through to canvas when locking the brakes up

Cheers all. The flash on the phone camera really made the fiddle back pop, I really hadn't noticed it that much beforehand

Not sure why you'd want to put linseed oil on your car?

Wheels same as first pic in list, but 4 door body like 2nd. There seem to be many older models and sedans showing up, plus lots of steel wheels and 21" wheels in those photos. Internally expanding drum hand brake, externally contracting foot brake, all only on the rear wheels. Makes stopping in traffic fun when you're trying to double clutch shift down gears and some knob cuts in font of the nice stoppage gap you were allowing yourself!

I’m sure I posted that in another thread,  oh well

That sounds very interesting to drive!
we are so spoilt with disc brakes nowadays, I do remember crashing an ex G/F’s car with all round drum brakes many years ago (obviously it wasn’t my fault)

Remember this?

Now.....

I want to find a really nice piece of leather for the top :tu:
So....  Table top protector (cost £1, the price of this project just keeps going up and up  )

Here it is finished... well I still need to replace the locks or get keys cut,
still needs more filler, sanding and maybe painting..... one day

More here  ;)

Tony, have you got a Freecycle or Freegle scheme in your area? Might be worth a shot.

Also, we recently got a really nice 2 seater leather sofa from Gumtree for £20. Not that I'm offering it to you as we sit on it, but there are always loads of leather sofas on offer for cheap.  :salute:
