I just got this Victoria Champion. It's in pretty good shape but a previous owner etched his name in the blade.

Just scored a nice used GAK off eBay. Only 5 bucks. Mmmm no one here must have wanted it. It's used but in good shape. I plan on making custom scales for it as the seller said the old ones were cracked slightly.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

These are not part of the Wenger Blaze Orange series. Instead they're part of a special run of orange-handled Rangers that apparently are only available in Germany.

Karl

Wonderful, SwissBianco was showing those in a video at one time and said they would be coming.  Those do look good.  I'll probably need one of those.

Here's the store in Germany. Don't go with the listed shipping; instead ask for a quote.

Is it the name of a former owner or the name of a knife shop. At one time a lot of European (particularly Swiss) shops had their name etched on the blade by Victorinox and Wenger. Probably some nominal fee involved.  They're reasonably common.

God preserve General Washington and the Continental Congress! Down with King George! (with apologies to our British members  :))

Rambler with the Gadsden Flag design. It's an American Revolutionary War battle flag design that is still pretty popular in the US. It's even on the cover of a Metallica album  :).

I know what you mean. I have quite a few of those, most of them from stores in Luzern.
In this case it's the name of the previous owner and the etching is very ugly. And very "deep", I don't think it can be polished out easily.

I went on a bit of an eBay shopping spree today :)
I searched for soon ending low priced victorinox stuff...
First, I won an auction for a black Climber & Classic.
Then, a Tourist and a Bantam.
For the whopping total amount of $15,50, excluding shipping.
I love this seller, I've baught from him before.
But then, I spotted something I always search for in things, things that were made in my year of birth.
So I won a Swiss Army Soldier dated 1977 ;)
Will post pics as soon as they arrive!

I got a nice haul today.  :D  :D  :D  :D

Wenger standard issue from felinevet store.  I like the bail on these, great for lanyard pocket carry.

The 2 red pioneers were a nice score.  I actually found them as new old stock at a Canadian store, priced the same as the silver alox pioneers.  I bought the 2 they had, but wish they had more.   You dont see those often, the ones I see NIB on ebay, go for lots more.

The orange cadets are courtesy of tattoosteve.  When they were on sale for 17.99 and the site wouldn't ship to Canada, he thankfully offered to be the middle man and hook me up!!

Cheers!
