Hi Toolies,

I’ve been lurking on this forum for far too long so I thought it was about time I introduced myself.

My name’s Andy, and I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect little pocket tool. Aren’t we all…

I’ve always been a bit of a gadget fan, for years, and have had many a multi tool. Usually they’re for fixing my bike (bicycle). Though I also needed something for opening boxes, in my previous job.

After many missteps, I’ve currently settled on a Victorinox Rambler. Though I’d also really like an Alox version.

And so my quest begins…

Greetings and Welcome to MTO.  Best to you on your quest.   :salute:

Aloha Aloha, :D
Thanks for the best wishes.  :salute:
I’m sure my quest will be short.
All I want to do is make an Alox Rambler, without messing it up.
I’m halfway there… Just don’t look at my post in The Mod Squad.

Have already looked  :tu:.  I commend you as I have tried to ( taken apart a SAK ) mod but realized I needed to stop before I made a bigger mess  :D.  I'll leave the modding of SAKs to those more adventurous than I am.

You are doing a great job and while the learning curve can be steep you are nearly there.

Hi everyone. I'm Dave from the UK down south. I've been collecting knives and multi tools for 30 odd years and when I realised how many SAKs I actually had, I went and bought another one. While doing a bit of research for my recent purchase I happened across this forum which by far had the best advice. Next logical step........ So here I am.

Howdy folks! I've been using this forum for a multitude of multitool knowledge from Google, figured it was time for me to get an account!

I own the following tools:
Leatherman PST (silver) *2
Leatherman Kick (BO)
Leatherman OHT (Coyote/BO)
Leatherman Skeletool (Coyote/BO)
Leatherman Style CS (Coyote/BO/Silver) *2
Victorinox Soldier 08
Victorinox Fieldmaster (missing but I own it somewhere )
Victorinox Cadet 2018 special edition (Red)

Looking forward to learning more from the great folks here!

Absolutely - It's even better on the inside

You are most welcome    :tu:   :D   :tu:

Nice tool selection: Leatherman and Vic - Just like me - Actually I am more of a Vic then Leatherman man    ;)   - But love 'em both

But amognst us all we cover pretty much anything and everything multitool-wise!!

I'm defiantly a fan of the classics! I've been debating buying the mp600 bladeless but I don't want to deal with carbide cutters. Hopefully the GOAT tools cutters fit in the Gerbers!
