My name is Matt and I'm a multi tool addict.  I have been looking for the perfect combination for years.  Today I was exploring the idea of finding someone capable of customization, which brought me here.  So if anyone is interested in being hired to customize a SAK, or put some pocket clips on various Leatherman tools please let me know, or point me in the right direction.  Looking forward to sharing my addiction.

Looks like we have the same first and last name. That's a strange coincidence.

I snapped them up on eBay 2 days ago. At that stage I didn't know they were the Digger versions, only after looking at the plain black sheath  in the photo's did I start getting suspicious and thought maybe I'd been ripped but after some Googling I stumbled across some posts that spoke specifically of these stamped versions with plain sheaths. They arrived today and look great. I wonder how many there are?

Yep mate they were the ones I was chasing  :twak: :twak: :D :D , congrats mate  :tu: :tu:

As too how many were issued to the Aussie Army   thousands I think   BUT they are no longer being issued  :( the army now issues one of the worst made multi tools available , the Schrade ToughTool  >:( >:(. Cost would be the only reason they have done so, as the Schrades are rubbish quality.

Sorry mate, I didn't mean to do you out of some quality tools. Do they issue them to every soldier?

In the interests of not starting a new thread, I thought I'd pop in here and say hi.

I joined at the tail end of last year after lurking for a while and have only just got round to posting anything.

I started off my love and use of multitools aged 6 when I was given my first SAK. It's got some company branding (ABCD 1946-1996, my dad got it from work but I don't know the connection to whoever ABCD are) on the main blade and is a blue Spartan-alike. It's a bit weird because I have never seen another non-translucent blue SAK and it doesn't have the scale mounted tweezers or toothpick either.

I'm a big MT fan, use my Wave every day. Thanks to some inspiration from here (Metro and others) my Wave's been a bit tweaked with the Rebar pliers, though I had to grind a bit more off the scissors than in the Black Tide, and I've removed the redundant saw to allow space for more screwdriver bit storage. The remaining Wave pliers got packaged back up in to the Rebar in a nightmarish process that I don't think I'll repeat if I did it again, to create a first Leatherman for my dad.

I'm eyeing up a Flik at the moment with the thought of re-shaping the Wharcliffe blade for a, to me, more useful shape with a decent belly.

Anyway, that's me. I'm Cupboard around various other parts of the intertubes too and thanks to your quick mods/admins now here too :)
