Last year i had my micra on me for busting into those hard to open packages. This year i'm going with the Vic Handyman as my Christmas carry.

Last year the micra saved Christmas ::) :D

With four girls (3-10) round the house this christmas this year there's gonna be lots of Barbie Bondage, so probably a Juice or the PowerCutTM   ;)

Apart from my EDC keyring, when walking the dog first thing,I don't intend leaving the house. So a pair of scissors should suffice.

This being one of those situations where I know tools will be required in advance I intend to use the right tools for the job rather than rely on MTs.

So to hand will be:  phillips 0 and 1 for battery compartments and a pair of wire cutters for all those chuffing wraps they put over toys to retain them in their boxes.

I will keep a smaller folder to hand to deal with tape and boxes but learning from past mistakes I will not be using anything nice else my father in law or the like ruin the edges cutting through aforementioned wraps again  >:(
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Considering I'll be driving my family down to my grandmother's house, I'll probably have either my Spirit X, PST, or PST II on hand, plus perhaps a dedicated folder - Peanut, Stockman, or other knife. :D

I agree with Neil :tu:  I will probably carry a Cadet or a Solo something without a lot of extra's
seems I have in laws that have trouble "finding" the knife blade or figuring out how to unlock a liner lock. :pok:

Vic Rambler is a must, the little Phillips is perfect for battery covers etc.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

SAK with a corkscrew. This season, there'll be lots of wine anywhere you go, from friends to relatives and even neighbors.

I'll probably just carry the EDC combo I've been carrying lately. A Vic Super Tinker with a Swiss-Tech Micro plus 9 in 1 on my keychain. I also have a Vic Swisstool in the car for bigger jobs if I need it.

My girls have gotten older, so I don't expect any Barbie Bondage this year! (those evil wire ties are Satan's own handiwork I swear!) >:( So for me it will just be the Skeletool and its quick deploying blade for slicing through shipping tape, etc. :)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

 :o   ;)

Seriously, though, I will have my ever present Cadet in my pocket and my Spirit + kit nearby for any assembly duties.  I don't have kids yet but have a few nieces and nephews, so I'm sure there will be toys to put together.

Whatever you guys and gals get into, have a fun and merry Christmas!  :tu:

I will be out of town for the three days leading up to Christmas and will return Christmas day.  Since I won't be at home where my tools are, my companion the Pulse will be on my hip as always with my vic Champion next to it.  Those two can handle anything that gets tossed at them.  I have a two year old so toy assembly is a must this year.

I won't have much space in my pockets, so I am going to carry my cadet. I might have some other things available as I have to drive 200 km to my parents, but this will not be ready to use on christmas eve.

I may end up with just the pulse now that I think of it.  I will be around family that doesn't understand the need to carry both a plier based MT and a SAK.  What's wrong with them?

Christmas is one of the few days of the year that I allow myself to carry my Knifecoop oldschool stag Soldier (below).  I will pair it with a mid-size multi--this year a Pulse most likely, and a brass Peak flashlight.

That's beautiful.    And it has convinced me to carry my Knifecoop Tinker instead of just my Super Tinker. I sometimes forget how beautiful he makes them. He truly is an artist.
