If I can find some thinner diameter stuff I want to wrap the shaft on my mini gerber torch but that's dependant on material!

Hi Guys,

Have any of you used the LM Micra for trimming / cutting paracord??

I only have a knife at present which is a bit tricky but there are LMM's available in the shop here and the scissors look perfect for the job through the packaging. Just don't want to get them and find they cant cope with paracord!

Also are any of the UK people in possession of a Perma Lok lacing needle suitable for 550 paracord that they would consider selling & posting to a BFPO for me? I can't get Amazon traders to post and ebay sellers will only post to the paypal address!

I'm not bothered if its new or used as long as the price is fair and you accept Paypal. Postage will be free as its under 2kg. PM me if theres any takers!

I've used the Micra years ago to trim paracord but I now use the Squirt S4. The Micra worked fine, I just moved it to my keychain for other uses. It now resides with my fishing gear.

Second rattlesnake & lanyard knots. Took a couple of tries on the rattlesnake with a lot of starter stumbles. This knife is going to a long lost half-sister and I had been procrastinating another lanyard.

What sort of knot would you use to tie a loop over a hatband, and without it looking gaudy?

Last couple of years my braided chin strap has stayed on the back of my hat brim, with only a few occasions of it sliding off and pouncing on my shoulders unexpectedly. Makes it feel like a large bug made a landing.

Would probably want to use a thin cord, but I don't know of any knots to attach to a sewn-on hatband whilst keeping it laying flat. A loop should do nicely so the ends could be threaded through and looped over the slider.

Using a silly paperclip for now for a keeper, as the regular sized paracord wasn't working out well and had no leather for thong material.

I was looking for a 1940's 'Popular Science' article on some braided/woven projects, that I'd shared the link for several years ago in a forum or blog post, but haven't found that particular link again yet. A shoulder strap made in pretty much the same way as the lanyard
