MH 20 very nice, USB charger right?

MH20GT, newer version with XP-L HI emitter, about twice the throw of the regular MH20. Like I said, a lil' throwmonster.  :D

You ever thought about having a light modified?

He does great work, but I can barely afford to buy the factory version. In fact, I only got this one because Nitecore sent it to me to review. I've cut waaaaay back on the hardware these days.

Oddly, I've only made one light purchase this year, and it has proven to be my most reached for EDC light:

Zebralight SC600w Mk III (It's the one on the right).  When I can only carry one on-person EDC light, it's this one, hands-down.

Last year,it was these (I went nuts lol). The last purchase of last year, was the Eagletac DX30LC2 (Ninth light from the left, in the middle row)

I was reading a couple of review that complained that the tint on the Mk III wasn't quite as nice as the previous model.  What do you think?  Are they just whining?

Sky Lumen 2c.

Couple thousand lumens off triple XPL HI LEDs, runs 18350 or 18650 batteries with a tube swap, 20 different user programmable mode groups and a ton of copper heatsinks.

I suppose 6k lumens is enough to get by.

Of course for a few hundred more you could have 20k lumen.

Just saying.

Got in this Convoy S2+ 16340 in today with the T4-7A very warm LED.

Pic borrowed from Candlepower.

The mode selection seems erratic for some reason, but I've not actually read what it's supposed to be doing so it might well just be me.

On the Convoy S2+ UI question I think I've found what was confusing me.

The basics are that this is either a 3 or 5 mode light, so L-M-H or L-M-H-Strobe-SOS.  To switch between the 3 or 5 modes you turn it on in Low, wait 5 seconds and it will blink off briefly.  Turn it back on and it will be in the other set of modes.  Clear enough so far I think.

It's also got level memory, so it should remember what the last level you used was and turn itself back on at the same level the next time you use it.  HOWEVER it doesn't remember the last level you used unless you leave it on in the desired level for more than 2 seconds.  For example; you've been using it in Low but wish to have it come on in High next time you use it.  You'd have to click though Med up to High and leave it on for at least 2 seconds before turning it off.  If you don't do that then it will cycle on to the next level the next time it's turned on.  So in the example above if I went from Low up to High but didn't give it more than 2 seconds before turning it off, the next time I switched it on it would cycle back to Low.  Have it on in Med for less than 2 seconds and next time you use it, it will come on in High.  Clear as mud?  I thought so too. ::)

I love my Convoy S2+. So much light for the price and the switch on the red model is to die for.

Like it so much I bought a modded S2+ rocking triple XPL High LEDs and a pile of current boost on a 18350 battery.

I put a flat bezel on my PK Knight....it's more compact and looks less like a weapon. It also doesn't vignette the beam like the pronged one.  :tu:

Cheers mate.  It's a quite an uncluttered look IMO, but it's very nicely made.  If it had Fenix or FourSevens stamped on the side I don't think anyone would blink an eye.

Is it just the red one that has the unusual switch?

As I said; I'm very impressed with the quality of Convoy but having just spent all my 'fun money' on a new air rifle I really don't need to be looking at more lights.

Here's my own attempt to show the very warm LED I went for.

On the left I've got my good old Jetbeam with a perfectly fine cool white LED.  In the middle I've got my awesome Eagletac D25A Clicky with a Neutral LED and on the right is my new S2+ with the mega warm XM-L2 T4-7A.  I always looked at the D25A and thought of it as being on the warm side of Neutral but compared to the S2+ it looks positively chilly.

If you hadn't said there was a mix of XP1 and XP11 I'm not sure I'd have noticed.  Those XP11 really are slim for a AA light.
