I finally received my Thrunite Neutron 2C. I have been excited to get my hands on this one. It is in the form of a "tactical" light, but has the UI that my Thrunite T1 also sports. Rather than a tail and side switch, it only uses a side switch. My quest for a "perfect" light is finding one with a blinding upper end while providing a moonlight mode that lasts a very long time. This light advertises 49 days on moonlight mode and even at the low end of the ramping UI (12 lumens) it can last for around 5 1/2 days.

The beam is a good combination of flood and throw without pushing the envelope on either. All in all, I am pretty happy so far. I will probably do up a review in the Mini Review thread tonight.

My D4V2 Ti showed this morning. My first Ti light. Went with the xp-l HI 3A. It’s foggy and dreary here today, so the pic just doesn’t do it justice.

Yeah...I would advise against aiming a gun at your camera. Loaded or not. Especially if you are around it. Stay safe.

Very nice light.
I have seriously been considering getting this light, but have been distracted by a couple other purchases.

It is so worth it. I might go after another with a warm tint switch in the future.

Thanks for the concern.

My Dad learnt a very valuable lesson about "unloaded" firearms.  He pointed his rifle at the back door and said "It's not loaded, so nothing to worry about, see ...."  BANG !

It obviously was loaded, despite him honestly believing it wasn't,  and 4 of us kids were playing just outside at the time.  Thankfully no one was hurt, but my Mum refused to let him fix the hole in the door, to serve as a reminder to the whole family to only ever point a gun at something you intended to shoot.  That hole remained there for over 40 years until the house was demolished.  I still remember that lesson like it was yesterday....

I’m not saying you don’t have the training to handle a gun. Just some friendly advice. I had a friend get shot in the leg from a gun that wasn’t loaded. It was a 22 cal and it ricocheted off his femur all the way down his leg until it came out his lower calf. He had a pretty good stay in the hospital.

Lumintop GT micro, there was a nice 35% off coupon a few days ago on amazon, really impressive light, just throws like a laser, was testing it vs 3000 LM seeker 2 and it looked brighter, they both have same diameter head but the Olight is very floody with the optics so it's kind of an illusion, still this light is pretty awesome.

I ordered an Armytek Tiara C1. It advertises 900 lm turbo mode and a moonlight mode of 60 days. Also ordered some additional Vapcell 18350 batteries.

A Nitecore MT21C just arrived. It is up to 1000 lumins in turbo mode. The head can be adjusted up to 90 degrees for use as a right angle light and it has a magnet in the base so it can be attached to a car fender or whatever you need it for.

The hinge is pretty well made. It feels solid and it clicks at each of 4 stops. You can hear and feel the clicks. The on/off switch is something I have to get used to as this is not a tactical light that comes on instantly at your preset preferred level of intensity. This is more of a tool box light so you have to hold the switch for a couple of seconds for it to turn on or off and it always starts at the lowest level and you have to cycle through the levels to reach the desired intensity. For that reason this light may end up in my bag and an instant on model (my P-12) will go back to my pocket or belt.
I like the Emissars Sos. I think I would prefer the titanium myself but either one should do the job. Very nice.

I bought a Fenix E20 (2015 version) XP-E2 today
I admit I did it almost for fun, now I only use 18650 lights and I have a bunch of unused 1xAA / 2xAA lights.
Tomorrow I want to see this light, then maybe I'll keep it for myself or give it a gift.

I just bought a 25.4mm diffuser from Fenix for my Thrunite Neutron 2C. It fits perfectly and puts out pretty good light.

I have bought a lot of lights the last few months to test (hey, gotta try finding the right ones) and I think I have the ones I want to keep. It may be time to start culling the herd.
