That Rebar is looking good!!!

I like it too. Leatherman should do some blunt noses.

I gained my Rebar yesterday. Been carrying it today for some time.

I gave my Rebar to a good friend so today I bought a brand new one in leather sheath. I really like this sheath better than the nylon one!  :D

Why is my Rebar saying B02 inside handles? Thought there supposed to be month and year printed.

Cheers mate. I find it real funny that I took out the good parts to put into my Charge, smacked this together out of the spares (tools pic is back a page if you want to see) and now I can't put it down. It freaking rules.

mine should arrive in the next few days. I cant wait. I haven't had a new leatherman in AGES and this is one i have wanted since it came out.

i hope it lives up to expectations  :gimme: :gimme: :gimme:
It is everything it supposes to be.  :tu:

it does, it really does. I got it yesterday and cant stop playing with it. It a great tool. i think its going to be a favorite. im going to try and carry it for a month solid and see how it does.

I just got a BO Rebar and so far I like it a lot.
Mine is used but in very good shape, I had to tighten the pivot on the saw side and other than that it seems great.

This will get a shot at replacing my Blast as my work bag carry.

wow never seen anything like that happen before. that's partly the reason i carry a handkerchief/bandanna. they work as good hand protection when you really need to anker down on it.

That cant be from only squeezing. There had to be lateral motion to cut you like that.  :o

Unless your skin is just very fragile.

It was from only squeezing, I put maybe 100 lbs of force on it.

I think I broke my toe.. I swung that hammer with 100 lbs of force and smash!

A tip: Don't put 100 lbs of force on it.

I didn't but it's kinda the same thing if you think about it. Self-inflicted by miss-use...  ::)

I must disagree, it takes 100 lbs of force to get the job done, so be it.
The tool can handle it, so no safety violation there, just discomfort.

It is a design flaw, I shall know its limitation in future usage.
There is always room for improvement.

On a more serious note, I would be concerned of the pliers actually breaking given too much force. If you're using your LM this heavily, I hope you're wearing safety glasses!  :salute:

I'm not 100% certain if NASA is calculating crush grip strength specifically in this data (there are different measures of grip strength, but with a MT, only crush grip applies), but I can imagine that if they are, then NASA knows what they are talking about.

However, between that and a quick check of some physical therapy and grip strength building sites, I can determine this:

I have a very strong grip myself. I would not squeeze my Rebar on anything at 100 psi unless my life depended on it. So even if I am only 50th percentile, that's not far under my max. A Rebar is not designed for this.

Go get a set of pliers.
