, you'll have to bring it with you on the 27th
Thanks for the update, i've been looking at these more and more the past week or so. I'm slightly annoyed though, they only do the Desert coloured scales on the semi serrated Subcom F, i'd love to get the Wharcom in that colour, but it would require buying two knives and i'm not up for that!
A good framelock IMHO is, at best, just an unfinished linerlock that the manufacturer wanted to cut the scale costs in half!Def
And at $300, it dang well better be! Def
Nope. I've seen them and handled them and they were indeed impressive. I can't say that I wasn't very impressed by them, but not $300 impressed. What is the point of the most hardcore, serious user knife if you are too scared to take the tag off it and use the bugger? And, how bad would you feel if you broke it or lost it, or loaned it to a friend who used it to pry open a paint can with it? I am also impressed by Lamborghini's but with the potholes we have around here I'd never get one because that's way too much money for something that will just sit there! By the way, before the Sunfire, the two cars I had cost me $400 and $250 and I put a lot of mileage on both! $300 for a knife that doesn't cut any better than a $30 SAK, and doesn't do anything else? I just can't see it....Def
Don't do it ben!, you'll never see them again

Try telling that to Chris Reeve His Sebenza is regarded by most people ( Not all ) as the strongest locking production folder in the world .
I handled one and its fit, finish, and utility is like the whole Subcom series: top shelf! I almost bought one but couldn't justify it. More geared towards s/d and cutting seat belts, IMO. I bought a Boker Trance two weeks ago from Marc/EDCDepot and abso-friggin'-lutely love it! It's my new EDC, replacing my Griptillian. I think Chad really has hit a few home runs with his knives. Have you looked at the Trance?
The Trance is also on my wish list, I agree Chad really has some nice knives in the sub series. I also have my eyes on a mini griptilian, but find it hard to justify the high price. What's your thoughts on the griptilian v.s. the trance. I checked alot of reviews on the grip. series and everyone seems to have high praises for them.

That said, the Axis is pro'lly tied for my fav lock with the frame lock. The only reason it's not tops for me is it doesn't feel or sound solid, but that's really due to the Grip's plastic handles. Maybe with more substantial handle material it would feel more solid.... I know it's a solid lock so I guess it's more a psychological thang. The first times I handled the Mini-Grip and the Trance I can tell you that the Trance felt more solid in the hand. FWIWI have big hands though. The Trance also disappears in my pocket(s). I can, and have, easily forget it's there. As written about many times by others the Trance's small blade just handles superbly and like a bigger blade. I've done lots of work with the Trance and I never get discomfort. I also like how the flipper becomes a guard when the blade is deployed. I actually bought two Trances from Marc/EDCDepot. One for myself and one for my brother for Christmas. Both knives came with solid lockup and nice, sharp edges. Let's not forget the price of the Trance. You can pro'lly buy two Trances for the price of one Mini-Grip. I say try the Trance first before the SubClaw or the Mini-Grip.
