Found the blunt serrated blade on the Spirit to be a great cheese slicer. Does not gum up when slicing cheese for fried egg sandwiches or for burgers. Am quite impressed. :D

That's good to know!  I'm hosting a Swisstool Super Challenge in May.  I find that my SAKs spend an incredible amount of time in the kitchen!

Have any of our 111 mm enthusiasts used their corkscrew for its intended purpose?  The Swisschamp Sunday thread for me thinking about this.  I've never actually used my Workchamp to open a corked bottle.

Great to hear Alexanderre!  I used my Huntsman for the task regularly many years ago and it worked well.  I'd love to put the Workchamp to the test

Speaking of the corkscrew, I used it just now to open a bottle of some cosmetic liquid for my wife - worked perfectly well

And in general it is a day of using the tools I don’t usually use that much, for example a large flathead was used to tighten an sold pan’s handle so we’d be able to keep cooking in it

And we’ve managed to find a better (and 3 times more expensive ) place, that has hot water but lacks any sheets, kitchen utensils and so on, so we bought a few things and scissors helped to remove the tags

Thank you my friend, indeed it does

With the frying pan the length and strength of the flathead really made a deference - I needed to apply quite a bit of torque

Using the blade a lot for cutting cardboard. Organizing and cleaning some areas of my house. Saks have been busy.
But today it was time also for using a sak for opening other sak.

Glad that Workchamp is helping you stay operational!   :hatsoff:

Also reminds me I have some Workchamps to mod before Summer rolls around. Gotta get those done before it’s time to go camping. Missing using mine because I’m in a Challenge this month.

Wife asked me to scan docs today - Work Champ pliers helped me to carefully remove the staples while keeping them reusable because we don’t have a stapler at hand

We’ve managed to find and rent a better place with hot water and even internet access so we can work - we can surely say we are safe and sound now considering the situation. A minor detail - in order to provide a wifi router with power I will be making another power strip later today using my Work Champ of course.
Frankly speaking I can see that they have been restocked at local stores, but building one myself is both cheaper and way more exciting

Below goes a little rant from me, so I’ll hide it because it’s not really related to MTO

One thing we all k is for sure is that demand always dictates the price, especially when poop hits the fan. The place we found is also no good for usual peaceful times and we’ve found out that a week before it costed 200$ a month. Now it’s 700$ and we were lucky to get it that cheap. Luckily we can pay that much for a few months, but what about those who can’t? Why are some people here giving away their last and others bump prices when it’s war?…

Large screwdriver on 111mm for the first time, to breakdown old frames where the metal lock is stuck to remove the pictures.

Alexanderre, I'm glad you found a good place to rent, and the mighty Workchamp is coming through for you in spades!!  It's amazing how much you can take for granted, such as something like a staple.  I know that the Vic pliers are a lot more versatile than they get credit for.

You're right about apartments.  I had to resort to the Workchamp for Philips screwdriver use and it's pliers to work on a stove in my son's new apartment.  It's a SAK dream!

Jmoita, that Philips screwdriver is a real 111 strength.

Alexanderre is really rocking it. Make non sak users think twice about carrying such an object. How much your life can get better with a simple SAK (or in this case with the Workchamp beast) with you.

Today i used my SAK mainly for cutting tape with the scissors, for making new cardboxes for storage.

When all this started I gave my Forester to my wife just in case. Today I took it back for service since it was widely used by her for meal preps lately. I remember that about a year ago I sharpened a can opener a little bit and never used it ever since. Today wife asked me to open a few cans, so here was the perfect chance to give it a try - worked as expected
