some sweet gear... I really need a workshop... and money

As is tradition the next Celebration was announced at the end of this one, the next one is in London UK, mid July 2016... Maybe I'll finally make it to one!

Be my guest.  8)

The last convention was here in Germany, only 200 Km from my home - and i had to work that weekend.  Maybe i can make it to London next year. But i assume i will have to work again.

Finally i ordered me a Stormtrooper Armor  :woohoo: -, wanted one for long, yesterday "she who has to be obeyed" said "go for it".
Have fun.

Bye,
Michael

Not in your neighbourhood, but if there is something i can help .....

The wrong Webley model, so i made a not really accurate more beefier version of Bobas blaster:

 beats my Hasbro one (which I also intended on repainting) using this as a guide: http://www.therpf.com/f9/hasbro-boba-fett-blaster-upgrade-conversion-140375/

admittedly the hasbro one is scaled down.

But the Hasbro has light and sound, which is nice for Cons.  :tu:

And mine is probably not the best to carry in public - way to much to explain to still have fun. A display piece only.
Have fun.

actually there are 3D models available if I had access to a 3D printer... which is probably the best option as it's proper scale, non functional (essential for conventions) maybe even a hybrid with the guts from a hasbro one.

Have you checked "the dented helmet" already?

There used to be some sellers of Resinkits (iirr Sidewinder was one of them), molded from a real and accurate Webley.
Have fun.

Yeah, I'm on both TDH and Mandomercs forums. Haven't actually visited either in ages.

For the most part the armour bits I have so far is from mandomercs guys, the best bits are from Imperial Outpost Armory... he has amazing stuff. I'm constantly tempted to buy a bunch more of his "B" casts that have minor imperfections (or character as I like to call it) I'd also like to buy a new cast helmet... prices are just out of reach for me atm.

old photo:

note that's not a new (oversized visor) helmet, that's actually replacement visors in front of an old Don Post cast bucket.

My original plan was to go with one of these concept paint schemes:

or

must find motivation (and somewhere I can paint!)

Obvisiously you´re off to a good start with all what you already have.  :tu:

Haven´t been on TDH for a long time either, and i never was on mandomerc - looks like IOA does some decent work. There aired some really nice Helmets over the years, some day i will have to make a decision on one of them, too.  :D

I like that Bumblebee-style - or is it meant to be golden, not yellow?
Have fun.

Michael

Some mandomercs are also 501st approved with cannon kits (Boba/Jango/other) and have a custom mando as a secondary costume (and from what I've seen it seems to explode from there). I like the idea of the Mandalorian brotherhood, and custom mandos, as much as I'd like to have a cannon Boba, there's no way I can afford it yet. Custom is a good step towards it.

My take on colours is a bit of a nod to Boba (knee/shoulder), and even a bit of a blend of the MTO colourscheme, something I've been fond of for a while, plus I wanted something that pops, and doesn't look too much like anyone elses I've seen. The colour I intend to use is more a "caterpillar yellow" used on construction vehicles etc, kind of halfway between yellow and orange. Reds are out as it's pretty much Sith/Maul related, and blue is too Jango. It's tempting to do a prototype/supertrooper (all white) but I feel like that will just be confused by normal people as a stormtrooper.

(the number of times I've seen Lucas Mccoy photos tagged as Boba Fett   )

Most of the armour/helmet vendors on mandomercs also sell via TDH. Obviously if you want something non cannon but similarly styled (or without dents/damage) mandomercs tends to have more on offer. There are some exceptional castings out there.

If I won the lotto I would probably commission a fully painted Boba Fett set from Bobamaker http://www.bobamaker.co.uk/Boba_Props.html his stuff is unreal!

I´m not that good informed on Mando-Stuff to spend my money wise (good cast, bad cast, worth the requested money, ......) - but some day i would like to have a nice Mando-helmet for Display.

Today i bought another Graflex to build another accurate lightsaber.
Have fun.

custom or screen replica?

Bobamaker stuff is excellent replicas imho, and he will paint for an extra amount, however his buckets are expensive to begin with unpainted.

Saz on mandomercs forum has a variety of helmets available ranging in price from about 55gbp to 120gbp depending on which sculpt it is. He also does custom stuff. Sadly the sale thread on mando mercs is only visible to members, but check google images to see some of the sculpts and what people have done with them...

If you're not looking for 1:1 scale they put out a great replica .45 scale

Sweet looking.  :tu:

But as a prop collector i prefer something 1:1, and screen accurate. Cause it will be for display in my collection - but if i would costume as a mando i would go custom.  :)
Have fun.

Look at that page for some info.

If I were to win the lotto I'd be commissioning a full set from him.
