I just have to get around to coming up with a fun and/or interesting way to get rid of it, at which point, just follow the directions to get in on it! :D

Although I am a dedicated SwissTool User at one time I carried the Leatherman's.Of the ones that I had my Favorite was the Original Supertool.I worked that tool HARD.I finally killed it when I attempted to cut something with the wire cutters using the assistance of my foot.Needles to say I broke the jaws.

It was also my favorite because it was the 2nd tool I bought,my first was Gerber's initail foray into the market. They were OK,but i broke a few of them, and hated getting my palms pinched when I was really gripping down on something and the tool would slip.If Leatherman had put a pair of scissors in there I would probably still be using it today.

PS I am going to have stop reading these Leatherman posts or I will end up buying another Leatherman just out of nostagia

Off subject a little here but Benner that is one great SAK I like the tool choice you chose no useless tools in there at all. The Technogolfer is a great all arounder. :climber: never really been a sak kinda guy but around here it's getting me more use to the idea of having one. :sak:

Cheers buddy.  :)  I actually designed that SAK to be both carried on it's own and to compliment a MT and it works pretty well. I am very happy with it.

I would say that there are probably more of these around but I am pretty new to forum and just curious what everyones favorite is

I think that mine is the PST right now just because the simlpicity of tool and how effective it still is.  But I just bought a LM Blast so I'll

if my opinion changes.   :multi:

Great call, Poncho65!

The PST has long been my favorite LM.  (In fact, it's my only LM, although I've tried most of their other models.)

In some ways, I think LM got it right - in fact, nearly perfect - with their first few models.

But LM went downhill on many of their later models.

Since PST, LM models have gained both weight and bulk, but the available functions haven't increased proportionally.

The PST is an amazing tool.  It offers massive functionality for a 5 ounce, fairly compact tool.

Granted, ergonomically the PST kind of sucks.

It isn't a desirable every day user tool, but as a backup tool it's still very hard to beat.

I am really glad to see all the comments I like reading them ,you guys are a big help.  Have been using my Blast a little bit this week but really have't had much of a chance to really use it. I have been on vacation (to the beach)since saturday but I am gonna take it to work with me tomorrow hopefully the chance will arrive where I can save the day with my MT or at least cut some wire or something :D.  Even with the extra weight of the Blast I haven't really noticed carrying it around. I hope that I made a good choice on this mt I studied out what I needed and what I wanted hope I was right :multi:

Update I have been using the Blast quite a bit this week.  It seems to be doing a pretty good job at whatever I have been doing with it.  Seems like I have had the opportunity to use it a lot more this week than I wouold normally maybe just because it is new. :climber: :sak: :multi:

But my favorite remains the Micra...so much tool in so compact size and weight.

While there are a good few LM's that I like very much and carry frequently, there's only one that I'd call my favourite.  The Pulse.  Love the tool load out, the compact frame, the comfortable rolled edges, the fit and finish and so on and so on.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

IF I to choose a favorite then the Wave is it.  To me this tool is what a MT at its very essence should be.  So much versatility packed into a pretty nice manageable package.
I haven't  strayed to far away from my initial feeling even tho I flirted with the Surge for quite a while, and still do.

I carry my Wave most days regardless if I already have a MT on my work belt.   I'm talking new Wave however the old Wave is pretty terrific tho it's new Wave all the way.

I think my supertool 300 is (among) the best Leatherman multi tools made. But, it's too big for pocket carry... So I vote for the Rebar! I like the shape and size. I like the tools, nothing I won't use. And I constantly use hard wire cutters so being replaceable is a big plus. I really appreciate the Rebar and glad they make a little brother to the supertool 300.

The wave and surge are good tools, I like the easy access/commonly used tools on the outside. But I prefer the rectangular clean lines that I'm used too. And I really cannot stand that there is the small eyeglass screwdriver... It just bugs me, might as well put a corkscrew on it  :o :D

I would say that the kf4 is creeping up on the list. But how hard the tools are to get out and the fact that you have to raise the awl to access the saw I think is a little annoying when you go to use it. Otherwise, I'd say it'd be in strong contention for my favorite. I really like having this tool on me and really enjoy it. But I have a little bit more confidence in carrying my Rebar for EDC when I need to be prepared, kf4 is a little more fun for me!

ahhh, so much necro goodness lately.

I'd say my fav' is the Wave mk11, but if you looked at what I use the most it would be a tossup between the Fuse and the Skeletool.

I just can't get past the Wave being so pretty and I don't want to scratch it

This is a tough one   Lately it seems to be the G1 Wave, but my tastes change every so often.  At one point it was my modded Signal.  Another it was the Rebar.  I really like the smoothness of the PSTs and G1 Supertool as well.  I don't think I have one set favorite.

I would say all of my current Leatherman collection (PST II, Super Tool, Super Tool 300, Skeletool) minus the Skeletool.  The PST II has most of the stuff I need in the smallest package, Super Tool 300 is best at hard jobs, Super Tool (which I had before the ST300, when I need that same toughness in a smaller package).   The Skeletool was too light duty for my needs--its pliers weren't even strong as the PST IIs.  However, I did like its pocket clip and outside opening blade.

I do like my SkeleTool CX. All the cool factor of a folder and all the usefulness of a multitool in a light, small package...

The answer today is the Surge because I have been using it recently and kept thinking how awesome it is with all the tools and attachments.

Surge all the way.
If I could have one MT, it would have to be the Surge. It truly is the miracle, no compromise MT!

I grew up with the Swiss army mechanic (before Leatherman) because I needed a set of pliers. When the PST came out, it was heaven sent! Then I got the supertool. That was a nice upgrade. Then came the wave.  But I just graduated to the Surge and I'm not going back. It is the undisputed champ of MT badassery!

Would love to carry surge but its too heavy.
So I say TTi. I think it is the best tool for mechanical work because the versatility. I need to open around twenty torx screws a day and also need the eyeglass drivers so there is no competition on this weight class.

SOG:

My answer is Crunch due to it being the only LM mt I own and it is unique and different from the other ones.  :D

Second place is Micra. I don't own one currently but what a winner that was.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.
