The photos sure look different. My wood scales are real light especially compared to my other EVO Wood products I have.

Dark stained walnut 10, middle is pear 17, natural unstained walnut s557.  Fancy getting the 14 after pay day :tu:

(Image removed from quote.)
This one looks closer to it, perhaps it is the unstained walnut at bottom?

------

Most of my Wenger EvoWoods are moderate to dark in shade; however I one that is very light (unstained?). The pear wood has a pinkish tone that falls in between (the middle knife in the second photo).

Another flea market find (no, I didn't pay the sticker price!):

Had to get it, as this model was one of the first SAK's I had. May have even been the first, I don't remember as it was more than 30 years ago. I seem to recall a different key chain than this one has. Mine came in a box, not this more recent plastic packaging. Not sure if I'm going to use it, or keep it in the packaging for a while...

I EDC'd a SAK before MacGyver did...

Carried this simple old knife today, great opener and blade but it saw no use. Maybe some beers later on...

Sweet - is that a Professional Shark_za? does it differ from a regular Wenger?

I'm carrying my FatSAK Monwoody but as it's Wenger Wednesday I've sneaked my SI into my waistcoat pocket to observe our SAK holy day.

Funny, I think your picture is broken :pok:. I'm imagining an over cast morning with snow capped peaks in the distance as the SI lies among the slightly snow dusted under brush with a proud owner standing over with camera in hand.

After 28 days of Alox I'm having fun with some SAKs I've neglected.

For example, this "NOS" (came with scratched and scoffed scales, fingerprinted main blade and no box) Wenger. Not quite a Swiss Sportsman since it has that partial serration on the main blade, maybe just a variation. Does anyone knows if this particular configuration has an official name/number?

Yes it's a professional, a cool 30 year old knife. (85 tang stamp)
It's 95mm and uses tools more like the Alox Soldier than anything else.
Bigger blade, cap lifter.
The can opener is Wenger style and is there to remind you it's actually still a Wenger.
