How well would the gut hook work as a seat belt cutter?  If it does work that would eliminate yet another tool.

It works quite well on seatbelts, i've tested the guthook on an old piece of it,

Well...this surely is a fine place for my first post after lurking/reading/learning for some time now: Hi, Everybody!

I've worked through two Gerber MP's over the years, recently passing them on down to my two sons who are getting old enough to learn about tool responsibility and knife safety. (some Dad, huh....giving his sons inferior Gerbers instead of shelling out for some new LMs...maybe once they learn how to keep them sharp, and keep their fingers attached to their hands....)

So, I'd like to throw my (new) name into the ring on this excellently crafted tool, to fill the hole created by the passing of my Gerbers. I'm a DIY kind of person, who can really appreciate the thought, skill, and dexterity that goes into building up a MT like this. Last year, I broke down my Gerber Clutch to fix it's over-sprung pliers - it took considerable time and patience to get all the pieces back into their correct places. Then, about a month later, the plier spring bent out again....aarrgh!

If you need a good home for that awesome, homemade Wave, I'd guaranty it'd live out a happy MT life as my EDC. :mail:

WOW. I love that thing. You should really let me have it because I'm a multi-tool guy. I make them. I use them. I show them off at parties. I play with them, I dream about them. I have saved the day with my multi-tools many times over. Rescued damsels in distress. Snatched the world from the clutches of countless evildoers....

....I'm a hero dammit and heros deserve the best!!!

That was a little over the top wasn't it?
Sorry.
Sure would like that Wave though. I promise to use it everyday.

I would like it since my youngest has my old Wave. I would also like to put it head to head against my SwissTool. my wife has cut me off for awhile on future tool aquistions. Thsi might be the Leatherman that brings me back to the fold.

My friends,

Thanks you all for your congratulations and those of you who humbly backed out stating I deserved it.  This was neither expected or desired, but joking aside you have humbled me and shown an old bitter cop that whilst everyday I deal with the scum of the universe that there ARE some genuine, decent, brilliant people out there.  I thank you most sincerely. :salute:

Kwakster,

What can I say but thanks, thanks and thanks again.  Believe me on this...this gift will NEVER be sold, traded or used for a bad purpose.  I will only use it to help, or aid others and this can be put down partly to you.  PM on its way.

Thanks,

Flash
