SuperTool Saturday

I woke to my alarm and was greeted to a light drizzle and a notification on my phone that the battery was LOW on myQ, garage door sensor.

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

ST300, flat blade opened the shell.
The blade cut the clam shell open to remove the battery from the package, much more difficult than need be!)
And the flat blade removed the old battery from the PCB jacket.

Team work of one tool, multiple implements on a Saturday in October😎

Nicely done !    :tu:

Great STS photos, Gordon and Steve! :like:

I'm a day late, as I was absolutely wiped out last night. But here are some ST300 photos nevertheless.

I thought it might be fun to show the tools that actually get used at work. So here we go!

Pliers: some 2024 Ford Explorers have a cartridge oil filter with three O-rings on its housing. The small one is a pain. ST300 pliers make it much easier to install.

Plain edge blade: used for general utility tasks that require something to be cut.

Large screwdriver: used to loosen and tighten the hose clamps on Ford air box tops.

Serrated blade: used to turn old pants into rags. (Thank God I wear a uniform to work!)

Phillips screwdriver: used to loosen and tighten screws holding GM air boxes together.

Fine screwdriver: used to remove the aforementioned small O-rings. Caution must be exercised when so doing.

The ST300 has been a valuable asset in my work! :tu:

The ST300 was my first tool I purchased!  And, used almost daily in my parking construction & Service /Repair job.

It saved me many a step back to my company truck when onsite inspecting sites.

You have found a very good gig, and I hope it continues to be a good match and leads to other opportunities. DAN.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Thanks, y'awl! :hatsoff:

Last week, an animal control investigator came in for an oil change. I correctly deduced that he'd spent some time in the Marine Corps. We got to talking about our service, and I mentioned the Skeleton clipped to his vest. Upon seeing the ST300, he said, "you've got one of the good ones." He also said he misses his MUT.

Fantastic STS photos, Gordon and Steve! :like:

A police Taurus came in for an oil change this week. The drain plus was stripped, and as a replacement was not in stock, I was forced to re-use the stripped one. None of the wrenches I had to hand could get a grip on it. This was a last resort that I'm not terribly fond of, but...ST300 pliers to the rescue!

Happy STS, y'awl! :woohoo:

These photos were taken yesterday. The ST300 helped remove this rather dirty air filter.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

And it posed on the tin I repurposed into a small fasteners container. The tin originally held my recently purchased wallet.
