That's a great use Explorer!  We didn't get anywhere near what you got, but we're located in the dead center of Pennsylvania.

Thanks and cheers!
Was able to finally get my driveway clear yesterday thanks to some elbow grease and the kindness of my neighbor who thankfully owns a snowblower- As some of you may be able to detect from looking at one side of the drive compared to the other.

Been using mine a lot lately, so thought I'd chuck up one of these for yesterday's activities:

Found one of earlier and perhaps earliest versions of the Swisschamp. Could be late ‘85 or early ‘86…and interestingly has two major differences. So I might have to go on a squirrel hunt to find one that is potentially in between. One difference is a part update (later), and the other a (rare) construction protocol difference…which might be a production error.

Nah, typical day, really. If ever I have an actually interesting use, I generally forget or don't have the opportunity to whip the phone out in time for a pic.
Might send you a slice just for the enthusiastic support, though!

Looks like my '83 Champion, but with pliers. Has the same full liner between the scissors and scaler, and the key ring on the corkscrew side.

 Thanks, Barry! Always better to find the oddball knives when they’re in good shape.

And there’s always something new to learn. It’s crazy!

 :tu:

And not all of the early Champs have that full liner.  You hit the nail on the head with your comments SteveP! One thing this particular Champ is missing is any other 1mm liner(s)that usually go with Pliers! So either this knife predates the 1mm pliers/scissor liner…or it’s a production assembly protocol error…or?  :dunno:

Unfortunately, that is an issue with a lot of the hot stamped scales out there. You could always replace it with a good scale from a thinner knife.

I'll start the ball rolling...

Not the most exciting shot, but I rotated my Stayglow 'champ out of my backpack and brought in a traditional red cellidor. I figure it deserved a vacation (and a thorough cleaning) after bailing me out of a bad flat-tire situation last Saturday. So here's my other 'champ

Nice! I have a friend that keeps his red cellidor in a tool roll he keeps in his bike.  Hard to top this tool set!

They are!  I prefer the Swisschamp saw to the GAK.  The extra length of the GAK is nice, but the Swisschamp is more aggressive cutting wise.

Thanks to this post I just learned my SwissChamp is a mid 80's version. I probably knew that as I bought it here but forgot in the last 8 years.  :dunno:
