How are you liking the Wright Lambfoot?  Yours looks to have quite a long bolster on it.  :tu:

I like it very well, yet do not use as often as I should.
I like the Wharncliffe and Lambfoot blades as being good at trimming materials with better control.  The Wright (which is my only) is stored at far end of the drawer and several Case Copperheads with Wharncliffe blades are easier to access.

One item I do like is the backspring is a solid 7.5 to 8, so without a half stop it requires effort to close.  So safer. Then it does require a solid intention to pull open😉

I do love the design, it is a solid cutter👍
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Great knives and stories from awl! :tu: My recollections aren't nearly as great...but I do remember sneaking into my parents' bedroom to ogle the Old Timer my Dad kept in his dresser.

Carried my TB Stockman.  While I was sitting after dinner I decided to snap a pic of my favorite stockmen.  The Imperial ( 2rd from L ) is one I had sitting in my knife storage.  I remedied that so its out and will be put back into rotation.

Love the angles of the Case Sow Bellys blades when they're open.  Its a great knife to hold and use.  Its a real workhorse.

The yellow one is my Robeson.  I love everything about this one.  At 80 from what I gather its has quite a history that I wish I knew.  The celluloid is holding strong but I do keep an eye on it.  Figured after this long tho, its stable.

Thank you.

I started out really liking the Trapper but gravitated to the Stockman.  I have a few more but I failed to get them into the picture.  I figure you cannot go wrong with a 3 bladed trad in your pocket.

I can't keep my TB Stockman out my pocket tho.  Having 2 Stockmen seems like a lot so once home I change out so the others can have some pocket time.

I did the same, and then gravitated toward two-blade knives. And I recently tried a Congress. Heck, I'm adaptable!

Nice carries, y'awl, as usual! :tu:

Colt, the Red pops on your American Trapper.

Aloha, nice assortment of Stockmans. Yet understand the comfort factor with the TB inspired Case model. That is a beauty😉

a fashion stumble pairing a Buck Jack with a Case

I think a Case and a Buck make a great pair.

I may catch some flak for saying this, but I consider them perhaps two of the last manufacturers making US-made knives for the working man.

In spite of forays into other tools, Leatherman’s niche remains PBMTs.

Sure, there are other companies making knives in the US, but they generally fall into one or both of the following categories:

- Prices are so high that they become difficult to justify for someone who isn’t a knife aficionado but just wants a functional cutting tool.

- Production volumes are so low that if the quality is good, they are difficult to find through primary distribution channels, and they then command correspondingly high prices on the secondary market.

Meanwhile, (though the selections are often limited) many local hardware, farm, and gun stores remain stocking Case and or Buck dealers.  And, I can still even walk into a Walmart and get a US made Buck 110 or 119.
