Looks decent Gareth. Does it say where it's made ?

Proudly made in Sheffield.  :D

(I was curious about that as well)

Their entry level knives have a price point at around £25-30 and, with a sample size of one, feels like it's had a bit less hand finishing that a Wright made knife.

I can only tell from the pics obviously, but to me it looks like the blade is ground better than the one Wright I have.  Mine is rather uneven and thick behind the primary grind, which makes it a pretty terrible slicer.

It's...OK? Ish?  I'll definitely be doing some work.

Oddly enough my Wright Spearpoint has a overly thick blade as well.  I can't think I've had to do more work on a pocket knife to make it actually cut something.  Totally changed the edge angle.

Sticking with the Taylors Spearpoint.  There was a little something funky going on with the grind.  A slight wobble in the flow from edge up to the tip.  Not anything that would affect the normal use of the thing, but just enough to catch my eye.  Mostly sorted now I think.

Yeah, I think I had noticed your knife in a previous photo and figured I wasn't the only one.  It looks like a scandi!  :D

If I ever fix mine, I think I will attack the primary bevel.  If I don't, I'll likely never use the knife, unfortunately.

The weird part is that none of my other Wright knives have anything like as thick a bevel.  None quite as sharp as I like, but that's the same as a lot of other knives I've gotten over the years.

I'd put the spearpoint down as just a bad job, but with your one being the same I guess it's intentional.  I will say that after my attack on the secondary bevel angle it's actually a really nice cutter and holds it's edge very well.

For some reason (I can't think why :D) I got my Wright spearpoint out for some pocket time today.  As you can see the Wright and the Taylors are really quite different in almost every detail.
